Team Spirit wins Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024

Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov's team won the second Counter-Strike 2 Major, which took place from November 30 to December 15 in Shanghai, China, with the participation of 24 of the strongest squads in the world.

Team Spirit defeated FaZe to claim the tital. The series ended with a scoreline of 2:1 – 13:8 on Nuke, 6:13 on Ancient, 13:11 on Dust2.

Both finalists entered the second stage of the tournament, bypassing the Opening Stage. FaZe finished the group stage with two losses, while Team Spirit – with one. Team Spirit knocked Liquid and MOUZ out of the event, while FaZe bested Vitality and G2 en route to the final.

Team Spirit received half a million US dollars for first place. The runner-up earned $170,000. Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 featured a total prize pool of $1.25 million.

NAVI wins Esports World Cup 2024

Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen's squad won one of the largest Counter-Strike 2 tournaments of 2024 – Esports World Cup 2024.

In the final of the competition, NAVI defeated G2 with a scoreline of 2:1 – 14:16 on Ancient, 13:6 on Nuke, 13:6 on Inferno.

For first place, NAVI received 400,000 US dollars; the runner-up earned $175,000. 3rd-4th place at the event was shared by Virtus.pro and MOUZ – teams got $85,000 each.

Esports World Cup 2024 took place from July 17 to 21 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The tournament featured a prize pool of one million US dollars.

NAVI’s Valerij "b1t" Vakhovsjkyj was chosen the most valuable player of Esports World Cup 2024 in Saudi Arabia according to HLTV.org. This is the first MVP title for b1t in his career.

Vakhovsjkyj's average rating in 10 maps amounted to 1.33. Valerij recorded his best performance on Nuke against FURIA (1.96), while his worst result was shown on Dust2 against MOUZ (0.45).
