Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

Not long ago, we have had Func Inc, a gaming peripheral from Sweden and even tested some peripherals from them: MS-3 Gaming Mouse, Surface 1030 XL pad and the MS-2 model. After Fnatic team has tested most of the peripherals brands products on the market, they have decided that Func has a lot of potential and have acquired it; from here Fnatic Gear was born and in this article we will explore the new products from the company, which were built based on the past experience in this field.

The Flick Optical Mouse “G1” is shipped inside a medium-sized cardboard enclosure, which shows a photo with the product in operation:

The top layer opens up like a book in order to show the tech specs in more detail than any other product of this type tested so far:

We will be able to take a look at the main product highlights if we look on the back side of the enclosure:

What will we receive inside the box? Well, besides the main Flick mouse with a 2m fully-braided cable and gold-plated USB connector, a Quick Guide is also supplied to the end-user:

Here we will get to see the initial pre-programmed functions of the mouse interfaces, along with the LED areas:

Flick G1 does have the shape of an ambidextrous mouse but with programmable buttons only on the left side; it is fully covered by a black smooth rubber coating which adds quite a bit of grip and overall we are dealing with an ergonomic shape which should fit most hand sizes. A circular button is available near the scroll wheel which does have an initial mapping of profile switching:

Here is a closer look at the mouse top rubber coating by looking at its back side area:

Some design elements of the Func MS-2 have been brought to the Flick and these include the design of the lateral buttons:
