Introducing the Leetgion Omni-Tuner (Patent Pending), it's an all in one wheel for on the fly switching of profiles, DPI settings and more. Omni-Tuner controls are easy and intuitive, down press to choose your mode, then scroll up and down your profiles or DPI settings. Use one wheel to control them all.

The Ed’Druin mouse is the second mouse product from Leetgion and it comes designed with RPG games in mind. The packaging has some similar elements to the Hellion, which we have reviewed some time ago. On the top side of the box, we will see some of the product features listed:

 

 

The frontal side comes with a photo of the mouse:

 

 

If we look on the opposite side, we will learn some more regarding the mouse technical specifications, system requirements, package contents and some more details regarding the company:

 

 

After the removal of the outer cardboard layer, we will see that the box has a design split in two on the diagonal:

 

 

Inside the mouse will get revealed along with its bundle, which are also protected by a transparent plastic cover:

 

 

Besides El’Druin, we will also get three extra replaceable palm rests along with the documentation, which sits in a separate envelope. The palm rests come with two separate textures; we can choose between the metallic grey ones or the black ones with a rubber texture. While the grey textured palm rest was OK, we have observed some small scratches on one of the black rests, which tells us that the manufacturer should have also covered these with additional protective material for protecting these:

 

 

 

Leetgion likes to call the rests with a small lip “Inferno” and the metallic grey ones have a black product logo on the left:

 

 

 

Here is also a look on the back of the plate, so we can see the points where it gets fixed on the mouse body:

 

 

 

The black plates come with a different colored El’Druin logo, also on the left side:

 

 

 

The appearance of the El’Druin mouse is quite unusual, with the SPAD located on the left and the Omni-Tuner on the right; if we come from a regular shaped mouse, we will need some time to accommodate with the new design;

 

 

 

Let’s look a little on the left side of the mouse, where we will find the SPAD (Skill Power Action D-Pad). The central button acts like a joystick, with the possibility of mapping 5 different functions (left, right, up, down, press down). The larger ring cannot be rotated:

 

 

 

 

Here is a view on the back side of the mouse, with the Heaven plate attached, which does not feature a raised lip:

 

 

 

On the right side of the mouse we have the Omni-Tuner, a rotating wheel with a central button for on-the-fly switching of profiles, adjusting DPI settings and more:

 

 

 

At first we thought that it was a reflection, but in fact we have discovered another scratch near the Omni-Tuner on the body of the mouse. After a thorough check of the packaging to see if it was hit during transit, we found none so we think that the paint was scratched before the mouse was put into the box:

 

 

 

On the front side of the mouse we will observe the scroll wheel which is really silent during use, on both directions:

 

 

 

On the bottom side of the mouse we’ll find the Avago 9500 Laser Sensor along with 3 Teflon mouse feet:

 

 

 

Here is also a look on the back side of the mouse without any plate installed, so we can see the mounting points:

 

 

 

 

 

The rubber-covered black plates have a nice contrast with the rest of the mouse, but also combine nicely with the black laterals, which also have a rubber coating:

 

 

 

 

 

The palm plates come with different heights so it is better to also try the other variant if we feel that the mouse is not comfortable:

 

 

 

 

 

For additional durability, as with the other high-end mice, the cable is fully braided:

 

 

 

For achieving the best contact, the USB connector is gold-plated:

 

 

 

One thing that we did not talk about is the central LED, which tells us the current mode the mouse is in and can be switched with the right side button (from the Omni-Tuner). The Sky Blue button represents Omni-Tuner Off mode and can be activated by pressing the button for about two seconds. In this mode, all the Omni-Tuner functions are turned off to prevent miss-pressing during intense battles:

 

 

 

The red LED light represents DPI Micro Tune Mode and by rotating the wheel we will be able to increase or decrease the sensor DPI, in steps of 300 and range between 100 and 5000:

 

 

 

The yellow LED represents Button mode and in this mode we will be able to set two more functions for scrolling up and down of the wheel. The desired functions will be adjusted by using the El’Druin Configurator software:

 

 

 

The blue LED represents Profile Selection mode, and in this mode we can switch between the 5 total profiles with the help of the wheel. The profile switch will be signaled by another LED, located on the left side of the mouse:

 

 

 

 

 

 

The El’Druin software from Leetgion allows us to customize the button functions depending on the profile we are currently in. Leetgion have opted to include the button mapping options right on the drawings of the mouse, and not on a column like we have seen on many other GUIs:

 

 

 

Here are some of the pre-defined functions that we can set to the buttons:

 

 

 

 

 

To the buttons we can also map single keys or combinations:

 

 

 

 

The Profile Management section will allow us to upload the newly created profiles:

 

 

 

The Macro Management tab will let us define new macros that can be further mapped to the buttons:

 

 

 

 

Lastly, we have the Adjust Performance tab, where we can set the Polling Rate, Scroll Speed, Pointer Speed and also the Double Click Speed:

 

 

 

The El’Druin mouse design is quite unique compared to most regular gaming products on the market and as we have observed during the testing period, it takes a while till we get used to the new button placement. If we feel that the mouse is not comfortable, in most cases we did not choose the right palm rest.

After tuning the mouse with the DPI Micro Tune Mode, we highly recommend switching to another mode like Button or Omni-Tuner Off in order not to rotate the wheel accidentally during intense gaming sessions.

 

The El’Druin mouse does not feature weight adjustment, but with it we also receive 3 other palm rests, in different textures and heights, for achieving the best comfort. What we did not like was the fact that the mouse top surface has arrived scratched in one of the corner, and we are positive that the incident did not occur during transport because the product was kept in quite good conditions inside the packaging.

 

The Avago 9500 sensor El’Druin uses does not have stellar DPI values like the next-gen gaming mice but proved to be quite stable on both the ModMyMachine Slamepad and the SteelSeries Qck gamepads.

 

The El’Druin mouse is priced around 70 Euros, clearly not the cheaper variant out there, but we will still award the product for its design uniqueness.
