Memory by stefan @ 2014-02-27

Avexir comes to help system builders or enthusiasts which would like to pair the components inside the computer esthetically in order to have a cleaner and more professional look. The Blitz 1.1 modules are also equipped with LEDs for offering additional eye candy and the heatspreaders are quite easy to disassemble.

Introduction

At first we would like to thank Avexir for offering samples of their latest Blitz 1.1 Memory Modules for testing and reviewing.

About Avexir:

“In 2006, the founder of AVEXIR, Hans Cheng, decided to leave Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation to build his dream on memory module house with his belief and philosophy. Starting with no clients and a staff of two, he established his company into one of the best gaming memory module house in the world.

From the very beginning, Hans intended to have different kinds of company management strategies; branding and EMS business model. He works very hard to getting tiny profits from memory EMS business to funding AVEXIR brand business.

Brand business is a long journey with obstacles; however, Hans never gives up his dream. He believes that, in order to achieve his goal, the first two fundamental components of AVEXIR brand would be the quality and diversity of products, and a group of gaming enthusiasts.

Hans worked relentlessly to instill the belief that our product is made for gamers by AVEXIR. In 2010, AVEXIR established D3 (Design & Development Department), and AVEXIR has announced the first gaming memory, Core Series, at COMPUTEX 2011.

The next year AVEXIR continued developing a new project code name "Blitz". Products in the market named after Blitz usually make their products sound powerful; however, AVEXIR Blitz Series is not just powerful, it has real visualized Blitz built-in. Once again, AVEXIR has impressed gamers the real gaming gears. Finally, our efforts have been readily recognized by gamers and won Germany iF d&i Gaming + Entertaining Products Award this year in 2013.

Internal Management Philosophy

AVEXIR believes that, in order to provide excellence in products and services to our customers, we must first facilitate innovated workplace with relaxing atmosphere to increase staffs working performance including open communication and individual thinking.

External Management Philosophy

AVEXIR has a strong belief in people and respect within partnership. "What We Believe is How We Behave" is the best sentence to describe AVEXIR both internal and external management philosophy. AVEXIR commits to support its loyal partners in any possible way.

Vision Statement

AVEXIR endeavors to become the world leader of gaming memory solution to provide the best computer gaming experience for enthusiasts.”

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

Our test samples of the updated Blitz series from Avexir have arrived in two separate black boxes, with the product logo on the top cover:

On the back side of the box, the manufacturer gives us a small product description, along with the list of features for both gamers and overclockers:

Four modules are sitting one near each other inside, while surrounded by protective foam:

Avexir Blitz 1.1 MSI MPower

The MSI MPower model is meant to be installed on motherboards with the same design and features a yellow with black color combination:

On the back side of the module we have the same design, but this time a specification sticker is also included:

Avexir Blitz 1.1 ASRock Z87 OC

The Z87 OC model features a similar design as we have seen on ASRock Z87 OC motherboards:

The same yellow and black accents can be observed on the back, but this time the manufacturer has also included the specs sticker:

A Closer Look Part II

Avexir Blitz 1.1 Gigabyte Ultra Durable Green

Avexir have not forgotten Gigabyte enthusiasts so for the latest motherboards we have the “Ultra Durable” Blitz 1.1 series; the modules come with heatsinks which incorporate perfectly the same design as on the VRMs:

The same design can be found on the back side of the modules, but this time there is also a specs sticker present:

Avexir Blitz 1.1 Gigabyte Ultra Durable Orange

While the model with green accents was meant for G1.Sniper 5 motherboards, the orange heatsink model comes to serve the Z87X-OC Force models:

On the back side of the modules we have the same design, but this time with the specs sticker:

Avexir Blitz 1.1 ECS L337 Gaming Golden

Born for the GANK Domination series of ECS, these modules have a black heatsink with golden and chromed accents:

On the back side of the module we have the same design, but this time a specs sticker is also included:

A Closer Look Part III

Avexir Blitz 1.1 ECS L337 Gaming Red

GANK Machine models can be also paired with the red version of the ECS L337 heatsinks:

On the back side the same design is available, but this time with the specs and authenticity sticker:

Avexir Blitz 1.1 Original

Avexir has also built a proprietary “original” design which could fit on any motherboard. This time we are dealing with a red/black combination along with small chromed accents:

As we have been accustomed, on the back we have the same design along with the specifications sticker:

Heatsink removal

The heatsinks of the new Blitz 1.1 series have been built for easy disassembly; after removing the two top screws we will be able to remove the top cover which has integrated specially formed plastic through which the LED lights reflect light:

The memory module PCB is sandwiched between the two themed aluminum heatspreaders:

Here we have the module with the heatspreaders removed; the interface between the memory chips and the heatspreaders is a long thermal pad:

On the modules we have found Hynix H5TC4G43MFR which is 4Gb low power Double Data Rate III Sync DRAM

Between the memory chips we have SMD LED lights:

Conclusive Thoughts

The new Blitz 1.1 series from Avexir impresses with the revamped heatspreader design which resembles the appearance of many overclocking motherboards by ECS, GIGABYTE, ASRock or MSI. Avexir have also prepared an “Original” design which could fit with any other brand featuring white LEDs.

During testing we have found that the modules were capable of running at a higher speed than the originally designed one which is an additional plus. Inside the factories each module is hand-checked in order not to end up with a non-functional product which means premium quality control. The heatspreaders are also easy to remove if needed and thanks to the integrated LED lighting the system builders or enthusiasts can add an extra touch to the overall appearance.

The Blitz series can be acquired in dual channel or quad channel kits with capacities up to 32GB and speeds up to 3200MHz. The specification page can be checked right here.
