Just recently we have received in our test labs a brand new product from Mach Xtreme and to be more exact we are talking about an USB Flash Drive. Their MX-Barium series of USB Drives, which sport a combination of USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C ports are available with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities; our sample is the 64GB model and has rated speeds of 200MB/s for reads and 70MB/s for writes, but let’s take a look at the packaging first! The product is offered inside a compact cardboard enclosure with a small window, which allows us to check out the drive without unsealing the box; here we will also see the speed ratings for the model and total storage capacity:

On the back side of the box, we will get to see the product technical specifications and also some info regarding the company address and product code name:

After removing the top packaging layer, we will find the drive surrounded by foam material:

MX-Barium USB Flash Drive presents itself with a sturdy middle aluminum chassis in the middle, while each side houses an USB connector:

For additional protection, the USB connectors are covered by transparent plastic caps, easy to remove:

Here is a closer look at the USB 3.0 connector along with the USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C connector. The transparent plastic frame on each side allows the activity LED light to be seen easily:
