While the Jewel J20 does not break any speed records in terms of data transfer, thanks to Micro COB technology we can see a really tiny finalized product which aims on being in-line with the current fashion trends. The design is vibration-proof, waterproof but also dust-proof and Silicon Power is also throwing in a lanyard, easy to install.

The drive is meticulously crafted by curving lines to express the modern chic style. In addition, the matte metallic casing and stunning color choices finish the look with the sense of luxury.
Super mini and lightweight
The overall dimension is minimized by 30% to make the drive extremely compact for user to bring and store. And a strap hole and bead chain are designed for more convenient carrying that it can be attached on personal belongings.

Waterproof, dustproof and vibration-proof protections
In order to avoid data loss and corruption, Jewel J20 uses Micro COB (Chip On Board) technology and durable rubberized material that can promise complete protection against water, dust and vibration.
We will continue our journey implying reviews of the latest Silicon Power USB Flash Drives by checking out another model, and to be more exact the Jewel J20! The product is shipped inside a similar packaging as the one before and on the top area we get to take a look on how the drive really looks like through a transparent plastic layer, the total storage capacity (our sample is the 64GB version, but Silicon Power also has 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models handy) and the fact that we can download the SP Widget software for added value:

With this one removed too, we will have access to the Jewel J20, along with the included strap, easy to install:
Jewel J20 also comes with very small dimensions and is available in both Rose Gold and Blue color flavors; it does have a length of 22.7 mm, a width of 12.2mm and a height of 4.6 mm; the curved design is in fashion with nowadays products, while the matte metallic casing is meant to finish the look with a sense of luxury:
As before, the Micro COB (Chip on Board) permits such a small design; the plastic area does also feature a channel for using the provided lanyard (or another one of our own for that matter):

The Silicon Power Jewel J20 USB 3.1 Flash Drive has arrived formatted FAT32:
To determine the flash drive read speeds, the HD Tune v5 utility was used; the read speeds are quite good with this particular model, while the writes are decent (when transferring data from mobile devices) as well for the 16GB variant:
To measure the real life performance, we have used the Total Commander application to copy to the flash drive and from the flash drive the same file and recorded the transfer speeds, after they have stabilized.

SP Widget free software utility adds some more value to the product; it can be downloaded from the Silicon Power website and presents itself with an easy to use interface; we can use the USB drive for backups and the main screen will show the current progress:

Favorites can be saved to the drives from the installed browsers;
We can also use the cloud for addition backup options:
Lastly, we can adjust the interface language, check the user manual, the Log file or go back to the main menu:

If the Rose Gold color is not your style, you can always go for the Blue one; each version is available in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions for covering most usage needs and the overall performance is a bit better than the one we have seen with the J30 model, on both reads and writes.
SP Widget is also free to download in order to be used with this product, so the Jewel J20 will be transformed in another backup device.
