Packaging, A Closer Look

Toshiba has recently launched new series of their microSDXC UHS-I cards, which also includes the EXCERIA M303. This product is rated as having up to 98MB/s read speeds, while the writes should hover around 65MB/s. In terms of packaging, Toshiba does ship the M303 inside a simple, cardboard enclosure along with a SD adapter for more compatibility across devices:

On the back side of the packaging, Toshiba did describe the total amount of usable space, in multiple languages. Here we will also learn of the product serial number, but also contact information:

After removing the cardboard layer, we will observe that the card along with the adapter are further protected inside a sealed transparent plastic mold:

The Toshiba SD adapter carries the ADP-HS02 code name and we have seen it shipped before with other models as well:

On the back of the adapter, we will spot the usual gold-plated contacts:

The tiny Toshiba EXCERIA M303 does sport a black/red color scheme and here we will be also able to see the logos of the supported standards, along with the storage capacity:

A look on the back side of the card will reveal a factory serial number, but also the manufacturing location:

Conclusive Thoughts

The new EXCERIA M303 microSDXC cards from Toshiba are aimed towards 4K or Full-HD content recording and can fit the smallest available devices; these are rated as having V30 Video Speed Class and from our tests, we got near 70MB/s writes, which should be enough for most multimedia content.

The M303 cards were built to sustain tough operating conditions (outdoors) and for this matter these are shockproof, waterproof and temperature proof; people that travel a lot do not need to worry about scanners in airports, because the M303 is also x-ray proof.
