ENDORFY Omnis Pudding Blue Gaming Keyboard Review

Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2024-05-24

Omnis Pudding Blue has an unique signature thanks to the Kailh Blue mechanical switches, with that extra click noise, being no much heavier than the MX Reds. Because of the extra noise aspect, using these at work may disturb a bit nearby colleagues, so you should go with another switch choice in enterprise environments instead. We have tried the keyboard to type a few documents but also game in titles such as The Crew Motorfest, Fallout 76 and Escape Simulator; thanks to the extra key feedback, Omnis Pudding Blue is very precise and we did not need any time to get used to as with MX Speed.

Introduction

At first we would like to thank ENDORFY for sending us a sample of their Omnis Pudding Blue Gaming Keyboard for testing and reviewing.

Product Features, Specifications

Product Features:

The keyboard you won’t take your hands off

The Omnis Pudding Blue is a mechanical keyboard you won’t be able to take your hands off. It’s SUPER comfortable to use – Caps Lock intended. It doesn’t tire your wrists even after hours upon hours upon hours of use. And the numpad makes it all a breeze: stream management, complex calculations, tables, spreadsheets, macros, and more. Done and dusted, with flying (ARGB) colors!

Pudding rock star

A wise man once told us that Omnis Pudding Blue is like a rock star among keyboards. That’s probably because of the 104 Pudding keycaps with ARGB shining unabashedly on its aluminum top. At the click of a button, you can set the colors you want – for example, change its ambient glow to pulsating neon blaze. Or highlight only a few selected keys. Or… You get the drill, there are a lot of options. In any configuration, your Puddings will be ready to rrrumble!

Switches ready for action

When you live fast, you deserve hardware that can keep up with you. That’s why the Omnis Pudding Blue comes equipped with switches always ready for action – Kailh Blue. They’ll heed your every call.

The more (support), the merrier

This isn’t our first rodeo, so we know first-hand that long hours of clicking mean tired hands. And tired hands in turn mean absolute disaster – work unfinished, a game rescheduled, a conversation abruptly interrupted. That’s why with Omnis Pudding Blue we’re giving you extra support – a comfortable wrist rest.

Loud and proud

Some days you just want to sit down, close your eyes and blast your favorite track for the neighbors to enjoy too. With the Omnis Pudding Blue, all it takes is a flick of your hand to take it to the next (louder) level. Quieter is also possible – but is it really what you want right now?

My name is RGB. ARGB

Let’s face it – keyboards without a backlight are fine. But if you like the darkness of the night, want to stand out from the crowd, or impress your followers, then ARGB is a must-have.

Adjustable angles

To make clicking even more comfortable, we equipped the Omnis Pudding Blue with two-step adjustable feet. With them, you can place the keyboard at an angle that best suits your needs.

Cable management made easier

The Omnis Pudding Blue keyboard chassis allows you to route the cable in three different ways, helping you make better use of your desk space.

Everything under control

Do you like to have everything under control? We thought of that – and equipped the Omnis Pudding Blue with functional and feature-packed software. We fondly refer to it as “God mode”. With its help, you’ll adjust all keyboard settings to your needs – whether it’s changing the ARGB backlight and its color, customizing the effects, or creating new profiles. If you want, you can even create your own macros.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

In this article we will look upon another interesting gaming keyboard from a company we haven’t cooperated with before, ENDORFY. The company is from Poland and has products available from many categories, such as headphones, microphones, keyboards, mice, mouse pads, gaming chairs, floor pads, desks, display mounts but also represents PC components area with product such as air coolers, liquid coolers, cases, PSUs or fans.

The keyboard is named Omnis Pudding Blue, which features an aluminum chassis for extra reinforcement, 104 pudding PBT Double-Shot keycaps for a nice RGB effect and Kailh Blue mechanical switches. These have a clicky behavior, with a 2.1 mm actuation and a 3.8mm total travel distance, while the operating force is 49 g, bottoming out requiring 61 g.

The keyboard is shipped inside a medium-sized cardboard enclosure, showing a photo of the keyboard in operation:

On the left side, ENDORFY has specified the type of switches this keyboard does incorporate:

The main product highlights are present on the right:

We will also note how nice the pudding keycaps do look like:

A large ENDORFY logo is present on the box as well:

The bottom area comes with the technical specifications in multiple languages but also the box contents:

After unsealing the box and lifting the top cover, we will note one of ENDORFY’s sayings “We are all technology heroes”:

The main components of the product are wrapped in a thin foam layer, for additional protection; we will also receive the removable USB cable and a leaflet:

Inside the offered document, we will receive the necessary details for completing the installation:

The keyboard comes with a nice, black aluminum reinforced chassis, with a key layout ideal for both gaming and productivity work:

The pudding keycaps are a good pair with the Kailh Blue switches, allowing more lighting to shine through than regulars; the Double-Shot characteristic also ensures durability for a long time:

A Closer Look Part II

ENDORFY has placed the status LEDs in a column instead of a row as we have noted with many other keyboard models, while the Volume wheel allows easy control:

The Kailh blue offer a nice audible click when actuated and are pleasant to actuate thanks to their 49 g operating force; the ARGB backlight can create some nice effects via the dedicated software utility, presets we can also access by pressing Fn and one of the following keys: Ins, Home, PgUp, PgDn, Del or End.

The side panel of the keyboard does feature a subtle ENDORFY logo, along with a RGB frame, between the top aluminum layer and the bottom plastic chassis:

In the frontal area, we do not have any extra USB hub interfaces, but we can observe three different cable routing channels:

The plastic bottom area of the keyboard does come with an interesting non-symmetric pattern:

Upon a closer look, we will discover a small sticker with the product code name and the serial number:

A key puller is integrated with the chassis:

In the corners, the keyboard has small rubber feet attached to it:

The middle area includes the special design for the USB port, so it won’t be damaged easily or catch dust:

Omnis Pudding Blue comes with two separate sets of kickstands, one small and one large, allowing for two angles to be used; we appreciate the rubber tips in case of both sets:

A Closer Look Part III

The offered USB cable is fully-braided and is USB-C on the keyboard side and USB-A on the computer side:

The USB cable installation can be done easily, while the routing channels allow for optimal management on the desk:

The offered magnetic wrist rest is made of plastic and includes an interesting pattern on a closer look:

The magnets used with this model are quite strong and keep the wrist rest attached well to the keyboard:

After connecting the keyboard to our test computer, we could note right away the cool ARGB effect pudding keycaps can bring:

The Software GUI Part I

The dedicated software interface does incorporate the specific ENDORFY color scheme and allows customization regarding the ARGB lighting, button configuration and some extras as well:

The Illumination menu comes with plenty of presets:

Impressions and Conclusive Thoughts

The build is solid, with good quality of materials, does not creak thanks to the included top aluminum layer for reinforcement, while the pudding keycaps help a lot with the ARGB lighting. ENDORFY did make sure to offer keycaps more durable thanks to the Double-Shot process and can be easily removed thanks to the included key puller.

ENDORFY comes with a dedicated application for customizing the ARGB effects, but also for redefining the key functions, software downloadable from the online website. Via Fn key, we can access extra functions without the use of extra software, such as:

-Fn + F1 = My Computer

-Fn + F2 = Default Web Browser

-Fn + F3 = Calculator

-Fn + F4 = Default Multimedia Player

-Fn + F5 = Previous Track

-Fn + F6 = Next Track

-Fn + F7 = Play/Pause

-Fn + F8 = Stop

-Fn + F9 = Mute

-Fn + F10 = Volume Down

-Fn + F11 = Volume Up

As an addition to these, we can also work with the ARGB effect presets, but also adjust the brightness of the keys, increase/decrease the speed of the effect, direction or change the light color. The Volume wheel is able to adjust the level with ease, but can also enable Mute by pressing it downwards.

The ENDORFY Omnis Pudding Blue is priced at about 85 Euros with taxes, a good price for the offered specifications!
