Tradeshow & OC events by jmke @ 2005-04-14

We report back from Cebit 2005 with news on water cooling solutions, new air cooled heatsinks and a nice collection of flashy casemods!

Air & Water Cooling

About one month ago we visited Europeans largest IT related technology event in Hannover, Germany.

Today we have our 1st part of 2 part hardware tour prepared of Cebit 2005; we will focus more on Cooling and Cases, less on motherboards and video cards. Off we go!

Air & Water Cooling

Coolermaster had a nice stand which displayed their new products, their new water cooling unit and larger then live copper heatsinks were drawing large crowds.

Their Aquagate and Aquagate-mini systems are modular, allowing you to cool the motherboard chipset and video card!

asetek was displaying their first air cooled heatsink, which looked very much like a water cooling radiator with a twist

Titan Computer had a wide variety of air and water cooling products, their new air-cooled heatsinks support 92mm and even 120mm fans; while they also had a quite attractive water-cooled case setup, new competition for Koolance?

Scythe had a few passively air-cooled systems running, as well as a passive water cooling solution:

More Water Cooling & Cases

Speeze and Spire shared quite a few products, with Spire taking the edge with their very attractive blue case which was on display at the front of their booth

Alphacool had their water block lined up and also showed some kits running in barebones, towers and servers. The most remarkable water blocks were those connected to the memory chips on a video card!

Between all the water cooled cases Beltronic's stood out for quite a different approach to "water cooling" :)
