Due to the increased amount of visitors we receive each day, our current co-hosting server is being overloaded. The next logical step is shown here: getting our own web server installed!

The fine people over at Priorweb will place our 2U case into their co-location in the Netherlands. Installation and support is top notch and we strongly recommend their service to you! :)

Specifications :

An Intel S845WDI-E powered motherboard with 1gb of RAM and a P4 2.4 should be able to serve our mad webpages fast enough! A RAID 1 setup of 40gb covers all our web space needs (for now ;) ).

Chieftec 2U case: heavy but looking slick!



Good cooling inside:



PC2100 ECC DDR and IDE HD are pretty cheap at the moment!

How to make it a little bit more interesting:

1) Tape of area of interest and cut out certain letter with sharp knife:



2) Remove excessive tape



3) Start painting!



4) Three painting sessions later:




Did I hook everything up the right way?



Seems I did because the server booted without problems :)

Now it's time to get the server to our northern neighbours, after a long drive we pushed the server into the server rack and after a last check-up:

We will soon be moving the site to its new location, expect some short downtime and speedier site-access afterwards :)
