日本の友人から、5分足らずのビデオ画像が届いた。
LINEメッセージに添付されており、つくづく便利になったものだと、独り感心する。
急ぎ再生してみると、なんと日本の花火大会で撮影されたもので、有名な長岡（新潟）花火大会のクライマックスらしい。確かこの花火大会は、テレビでも中継されていた筈で、それでもこうやって送ってもらうと、一番良いシーンが楽しめる。まぁ臨場感という点では物足りなさもあるが、日本の夏の夕方の風情を味わえるのだから、贅沢を言ってはきりがない。二度ばかり再生して、早速シンガポール在住の友人にもおすそ分け。デンマーク人の友人からは、絶賛の返事、気に入ってもらったようだ。
I received a video image from my friend in Japan, lasting just under five minutes. Attached to a LINE message, I couldn't help but marvel at how convenient things have become. I hurriedly played the video and to my surprise, it was taken at a fireworks festival in Japan, seemingly the climax of the famous Nagaoka (Niigata) Fireworks Festival. I recall that this fireworks event was likely televised as well, but receiving it like this allows me to enjoy the best scenes. While it might lack the true sense of being there, it's still a luxury to experience the ambiance of a Japanese summer evening. I watched it twice and promptly shared it with my friend residing in Singapore. My friend from Denmark replied with enthusiastic feedback, indicating that they truly enjoyed it.
