Spoke tonight an amazing panel tonight at North Star - GITEX organized by NVIDIA Wei Xiao and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Kartik Renjen and in5 Dubai Saeed Alnofeli with Rabih I. Khoury from Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP) and others. We discussed deep tech and the AI landscape in the region. Was pleasant to meet many founders and investors from 24SIX9 and spoke about Actual VC deep tech aspirations and AHOY being the region’s most prominent and promising deep tech scale up.

We had over 50 people attend our AI panel yesterday at 25 hour Hotel. Jamil, Ahmed & Saravan are three of the region's top minds on AI, between then leading $250m VC funds, AI Unicorns, and implementing AI into some of the region's largest institutions. My top takeaways: 🚀 There has been a hype around AI over the last year, but it's not the .com bubble, the technology is here, real, and opens up incredible opportunities for humankind. 🏢 Implementing AI successfully in large businesses takes an agile operating structure, it also needs open-minded leadership that is focused on using innovation to solve real problems within the business. 🌎 The Middle East is emerging as a leader globally with AI. The talent, investment, and mindset of the region is giving it a significant edge. --- At the end Ahmed gave a very interesting thought about how AI would change education across the world: Given the use of AI tools like ChatGPT, education systems globally will need to develop to adapt allowing for this.
