Dubai Reef, the world’s largest purpose-built reef project, has reached a major milestone with the fabrication of the first 1,000 reef modules. This ambitious initiative, launched by Dubai Can, aims to deploy 20,000 modules to foster biodiversity and marine life across Dubai's waters over the next three years. In collaboration with key public and private sector partners, Dubai Reef advances Dubai’s commitment to ecological sustainability and marine innovation.

Dubai College of Tourism (DCT) has partnered with Coursera, a leading online learning platform, to bring its world-class hospitality and tourism courses to Coursera’s 155 million learners worldwide. Through this collaboration, DCT will introduce 16 new courses focused on essential skills in the tourism and hospitality sectors, including hospitality marketing, budgeting and events, revenue management, inventory management, and many more. The Emirates Group and Dubai Airports have released a comprehensive study on the aviation sector’s role on Dubai’s economy. Conducted by Oxford Economics, the study details the direct, indirect and induced economic contributions of the industry and provides a forecast for continued growth based on financial and passenger projections. According to the report, Dubai’s aviation sector contributed an estimated AED137 billion (US$37.3 billion) in gross value added to the city’s economy in 2023. This figure equates to 27% of Dubai’s GDP and comprises AED94 billion in core economic activities, plus an additional AED43 billion derived from tourism facilitated by the aviation sector.
