Dubai Economic Development Corporation (DEDC) and key manufacturers from Dubai’s food and beverage sector have successfully participated at the 60th edition of SIAL Paris. One of the world’s largest food exhibitions, the event is estimated to have attracted over 7,000 exhibitors and nearly 290,000 visitors from 130 countries. Under the umbrella of the ‘UAE Pavilion’, more than 30 Dubai-based manufacturers benefited from increased visibility and networking opportunities with industry leaders, potential partners and buyers. The Dubai Stand Up Paddle event, presented by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), made a highly anticipated comeback to the picturesque Hatta Dam yesterday, attracting a record number of participants and spectators. Welcoming 2,330 seasoned paddlers and newcomers – up from 1,000 in last year’s inaugural edition – this event has quickly become a key highlight of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC). Resorts World Cruises, the World-Class Cruise Line that Knows the Gulf Best had arrived in Dubai with the Resorts World One commencing her first sailing from 1 November 2024 onwards. The 1800-passenger cruise ship departs from the Port Rashid Cruise Terminal 2 in Dubai three times a week to the Gulf destinations. A special celebratory event was held on the ship with close to 600 invitees to commemorate this milestone event. The port-stay event included a series of special memento presentations with invitees having the chance to experience the onboard LIVE performances, the wide array of cuisines and a guided ship tour of the ship’s accommodations, facilities and offerings. Dubai Reef, the world’s largest purpose-built reef project, has reached a major milestone with the fabrication of the first 1,000 reef modules. This ambitious initiative, launched by Dubai Can, aims to deploy 20,000 modules to foster biodiversity and marine life across Dubai's waters over the next three years. In collaboration with key public and private sector partners, Dubai Reef advances Dubai’s commitment to ecological sustainability and marine innovation.
