EEG was delighted to attend the Clean Energy Business Council & Advancing Net Zero Volunteer Team joint Whitepaper Launch event. It was wonderful to see updates and discussions on the two papers: “Energy Efficiency in Existing Buildings in the United Arab Emirates: Towards Effective Policies & Regulations” and “Deep Retrofits to Net Zero: Challenges, Opportunities, and Guidelines - 2024.” The critical work that has come to fruition due to the collaborative efforts of various private entities and academia showcases the change that can occur when organisation work together. Few of the entities involved in the papers’ research and review includes ENGIE, SEE institute, RSB, American Univeristy of Beirut and University of Bimingham in Dubai. It was also great to see the event held at Saint-Gobain's Al-Muntada Knowledge Space in Masdar City, which itself is a sustainable building that serves as proof of concept that sustainable buildings can be constructed effectively. سعدت مجموعة عمل الطاقة والبيئة بحضور حدث إطلاق الورقة البيضاء المشتركة لمجلس أعمال الطاقة النظيفة وفريق متطوعي تعزيز صافي الانبعاثات الصفرية. وكان من الرائع رؤية التحديثات والمناقشات حول الورقتين: "كفاءة الطاقة في المباني القائمة في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة: نحو سياسات ولوائح فعالة" و"التحديثات العميقة إلى صافي الانبعاثات الصفرية: التحديات والفرص والمبادئ التوجيهية - 2024". إن العمل الحاسم الذي أتى ثماره بفضل الجهود التعاونية لمختلف الكيانات الخاصة والأوساط الأكاديمية يبرز التغيير الذي يمكن أن يحدث عندما تعمل المنظمة معًا. وتشمل بعض الكيانات المشاركة في البحث والمراجعة للورقتين شركة إنجي، ومعهد SEE، وRSB، والجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت، وجامعة بيمنجهام في دبي. وكان من الرائع أيضًا رؤية الحدث الذي أقيم في مساحة المعرفة في المنتدى التابعة لشركة سان جوبان في مدينة مصدر، والتي تعد في حد ذاتها مبنى مستدامًا يعمل كدليل على مفهوم أن المباني المستدامة يمكن بناؤها بشكل فعال. #EmiratesEnvironmentalGroup #EEG #Environment #Sustainability #TogetherForABetterEnvironment #NetZero #UAE #CEBC Clean Energy Business Council MENA ENGIE Middle East

A Remarkable Achievement 🌱    On November 8th, 2006, the UN launched the "Billion Tree Campaign," inspiring communities worldwide to plant trees.   In 2007, Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) embraced this mission with our "Million Tree Project."    Today, we're proud to have planted over 2.1 million Indigenous trees across the UAE under our campaign - "For Our Emirates We Plant"  During our recent campaign on October 25th, we planted many Ghaf trees in Abu Dhabi. Following the campaign, we also planted thousands of trees in Al Bataeh Sharjah today. The Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) and Innoventures Education supported the campaign. We'd also like to thank ISS Relocations, McDonald's UAE and Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities for supporting this critical initiative.   As we reflect on this year's achievements, we are truly grateful for the unwavering support of the organisations over the years, which has made a significant difference in our journey.    Let's continue working together and contribute to our environment!
