We are proud to announce that during the Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition & Conference, #Emerge has signed a Landmark Solar Power Agreement with Etihad Rail to decarbonize their Ghuweifat terminal. This innovative project will feature a 600 kWp solar PV installation and a 2.56 MWh battery energy storage system, generating up to 85% of the terminal's electricity consumption. By reducing carbon emissions by over 8,500 tons, we are taking a significant step towards more sustainable infrastructure development in the region. The agreement was signed by Ahmed AlYafei, CEO of Etihad Rail Infrastructure and Abdulaziz Alobaidli, Chairman of Emerge and COO Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), and witnessed by His Excellency Shadi Malak, CEO of Etihad Rail, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, and Luc Koechlin, CEO EDF Middle East.
