We are proud to announce that Emirates Steel, part of EMSTEEL Group, has become the first company to receive ECAS certifications for product quality assurance in construction from the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) through UK CARES. The certifications include the "MoIAT UAE Scheme for Steel Bars for Concrete Reinforcement" and the "Certificate of Approval for Digital Competence - Digital Product Passport," marking a new standard for transparency and quality in steel manufacturing. This groundbreaking certification enhances transparency in product provenance and ensures that each batch of reinforcing steel is fully assured. Saeed Alghafri, CEO of Emirates Steel, part of EMSTEEL Group, recently participated in the AIST - Association for Iron & Steel Technology European Steel Forum in Essen, Germany, as a key panelist in the session on Global Iron Feedstock Strategies for a Transforming Steel Industry. He highlighted our leadership in decarbonizing steel production, including our world-first CCUS system and pioneering green hydrogen project. The green hydrogen electrolysis pilot, inaugurated last month, marks a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainable steel production. He also discussed the development of our Eco Iron Hub and the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing the green steel agenda. EMSTEEL Group is delighted to announce its signing of an agreement with Tadweer Group to explore the use of alternative fuels and raw materials for producing green building materials. The agreement focuses on utilizing Tadweer's Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) and Refuse Derived Fuels (RDF) at EMSTEEL Group’s facilities, including the Al Ain Cement Plant and Emirates Block Factory.
