We are thrilled to announce that Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has issued its first digitally native note (#DNN) on Euroclear’s digital platform (#DFMI). The bond – triple A-rated – raised USD 300 million for AIIB’s sustainable development programme. This is a testament to our commitment to working in a more agile, collaborative model, uniting diverse expertise to pursue shared goals.   Kevin Johnson, Head of Innovation Competence Centre at Euroclear, explains, "Our current view of Generative AI is this is an augmentation to human capability, not a replacement of it. The pioneering application, Legal Co-pilot, automates initial legal research and transforms queries into prompts, delivering concise, natural language responses drawn from extensive legal documentation."   Kevin elaborates that "We have turned the 'creativity' of the language model right down so as to eliminate 'hallucination' as much as possible. Legal Co-pilot not only points lawyers in the right direction but also references the documents where the answers are found, significantly reducing the time spent on preliminary research."   Our strategic approach goes beyond legal applications. We're carefully exploring the potential to adapt this cutting-edge technology across various departments. 🔸Supporting the growth of 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 requires better education and a resilient market infrastructure. More than 60 asset managers, distributors, investors, and partners gathered in Bangkok, #Thailand, on 10 July to exchange insights on the latest trends within the private market fund industry at an event organised by Euroclear FundsPlace. After the opening by Luc Vantomme from Euroclear, Audrey The-Dumas from Cambridge Associates described the changing landscape of private market funds, concluding that they have clearly earned their place in institutional and High-Net-Worth Individuals (#HNWI) portfolios. However, education and awareness on the specific characteristics of #PrivateMarket #Funds is critical, as the complexity and variety of private market investments have increased. The panel discussion with Prabhat Ojha from Cambridge Associates, Yuanyuan Sabrina Meng, CFA from Oaktree Capital Management, L.P., Premal Vadgama and Winston (Yukun) Jin both from #Euroclear, concluded that investing in #PrivateMarkets is a long-term engagement; choosing the robust and resilient partners to support investment decisions and operational activities is key. There appeared a clear need to converge bespoke operational process for each private market asset, to a standardised and automated process covering all #Fund #AssetClasses - mutuals and alternatives.
