The UAE Financial Intelligence Unit hosted a workshop on Virtual Assets in Abu Dhabi from February 24-26, 2025. The UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (UAEFIU) hosted a 3-day workshop for a delegation from the United Republic of Tanzania Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), held from February 17 to 19, 2025. This session was part of the Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Workshop and covered the following key aspects of the UAE framework: * Mandates of UAEFIU Roles * Risk Assessment and Analysis of Financial Transactions * UAE’s DNFBP AML/CTF Compliance * Assessing Risks of Legal Persons * Real Estate Money Laundering Risks * Declarations System (AFSEH) * Strategic Findings on Legal Person Abuse * Trade-Based Money Laundering The program saw the participation from Ministry Of Economy, UAE, Ministry of Justice - UAE, the Federal Authority ICP (Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security), and the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority.
