The Pacha Group has delivered exceptional financial results in its first full quarter since its acquisition by FIVE Holdings. In Q2 2024, The Pacha Group’s total revenue was AED 139 million, marking a 23% increase from Q2 2023, highlighting its growing importance within the FIVE Holdings portfolio. The standout contributor to revenue was EATertainment, which generated AED 105 million, a 28% rise from the corresponding period in the previous year. Additionally, EBITDA saw a 19% increase, reaching AED 50 million, further strengthening Pacha’s position. This growth reflects the synergy between The Pacha Group’s renowned entertainment legacy and FIVE Holdings’ innovative approach to hospitality. One year on, FIVE Holdings' debut Green Bond has proven to be a strategic milestone in our sustainability journey. Listed on Nasdaq Dubai in October 2023, the $350 million bond continues to support FIVE's strategic goals, with a focus on fostering sustainable business practices. We’ve developed a Green Finance Framework, which aligns with internationally recognised standards such as those laid out in the Green Bond Principles and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, To ensure that the funds raised through our Green Bonds or loans are directed exclusively towards environmentally friendly projects. The framework reinforces our commitment to sustainable development and outlines several key aspects. Some of these are: ✅ FIVE is committed to maintaining LEED Gold or higher for all future projects, including greenfield development and acquisition. ✅ The funds raised from the Green Bond are allocated to finance or refinance Eligible Green Projects. FIVE Holdings is excited to announce a strategic realignment of our leadership team to bolster our ongoing growth. Effective October 1, 2024, Jaydeep Anand will step down from his current role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Group to assume a new position as Chief Development Officer, while continuing to serve as Chief Sustainability Officer. He will hold this position alongside Nabil Akiki, who will also continue as Chief Development Officer. With multi-border development projects underway, Anand and Akiki will concentrate on the development aspects of the business, efficiently managing our multiple projects in Ibiza and Dubai, and leveraging their extensive experience to drive key initiatives and expansion efforts in this segment. To fill the pivotal role of CFO, we are pleased to announce that Kallol Kundu will join as the new CFO of the Group starting October 1, 2024. Having held key positions including Group Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer, and ESG-custodian, his extensive experience will be crucial in transforming many business functions. Kallol Kundu has successfully led numerous digitalisation initiatives in his previous roles, such as the development of an award-winning Centre of Excellence, utilising advanced technologies like AI/ML and Robotics, and designing a comprehensive blockchain-based framework for various applications in the hospitality sector. He has also championed the development of a full-scale online automated audit infrastructure, incorporating remote data access and data analytics. These blends of skills demonstrate his ability to integrate technology with business strategies effectively. Apart from these strategic transitions, no further changes are currently planned to the existing leadership structure. As before, Kabir Mulchandani will continue in his role as the Founder and Executive Chairman, while Aloki Batra will remain the Chief Executive Officer - Hospitality.
