Underground cable design engineers often struggle with testing cable performance, such as voltage drop, electric field distribution, and parasitic losses. Traditional methods fall short in providing the precision needed to optimize designs and prevent failures. Ansys Q3D Extractor addresses these issues by providing a tool for parasitic extraction, computing frequency-dependent RLCG parameters critical for analyzing underground cables. It enables engineers to simulate electromagnetic fields, predict cable behavior, and visualize electric fields inside the cable, improving design accuracy and performance. Using Q3D Extractor, the cable’s geometry is simulated to produce frequency response data and visualize internal fields. The results are then transferred to Ansys Simplorer, where an equivalent circuit model is created. This model can be combined with system elements such as voltage sources, passive elements, and measuring tools to analyze cable performance, faults, and real-world scenarios. #FluidCodes #Ansys #EngineeringSimulation #AdvancedEngineering #AnsysQ3Dextractor

In this video, real orbital data is used to show the approach of the SpaceX Dragon Crew-8 and Boeing Starliner Calypso-1 capsules to the International Space Station (ISS) in March and June, respectively. The yellow dot represents the ISS, the white dot is the Dragon capsule, and the blue dot marks the Starliner. The visuals are enhanced with the BlueMarble Bathymetric map and NOAA Nightlights, both free resources from the AGI Data Disc. To reproduce such animations and dynamic graphs using STK Pro, follow three simple steps: ● Insert the ISS satellite from the Standard Object Database ● Insert the Dragon or Starliner satellite ● Generate a Strip Chart using the RIC installed style Join us tomorrow at Amity University for the 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐲𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 to explore how Ansys Multiphysics solutions are addressing the challenges of spacecraft constellations. #Ansys #SpaceWorkshop #SatelliteDesign #EngineeringSimulation #Multiphysics #FluidCodes #SpaceEngineering
