The global trend has been towards more and more centralised regulation. While decentralised networks have the technical potential to divert that course, people still prefer to put their trust into centralised power as a more familiar entity. Decentralised networks aim to build trust via technology, but not everyone is willing to do the work to understand complex systems. Therefore, an opportune path forward is emerging… to bring centralised assurance into decentralised networks via necessary legal frameworks, while not hindering the innate capabilities such networks have to bring about a new social contract.
