Canaveral Cargo Terminal (CCT) recently loaded commodities in containers and break-bulk cargo for Schuyler Line Navigation Company (SLNC), a valued customer for over 8 years, where CCT has had the pleasure of working with the excellent team at SLNC since 2016 and stevedoring over 50 of their vessels. Schuyler Line Navigation Company, is a company operating commercial U.S. Flag & Jones Act vessels worldwide. Schuyler Line provides a variety of liner, chartering, and parcel shipping and logistics services in Northern European markets, North, Central and South American markets, West African and Caribbean Markets. CCT is a multi-purpose cargo terminal strategically located, in Port Canaveral FL, near the Atlantic Ocean and major shipping routes. It continues to serve carriers as a key alternative maritime shipping hub in the region. In addition to handling imports and exports, it offers value-added services such as inventory management, container management and repair, expertise in break-bulk cargo handling, reefer services and cross-freight solutions. Gulftainer is delighted to announce that the Iraq Container Terminal (ICT) has successfully handled the maiden call of the M/V Asterios, a state-of-the-art container vessel with a capacity of 1,836 TEUs, operated by Folk Maritime. This vessel is part of the India Gulf Express Service (IGXS), which connects Nhava Sheva and Mundra ports in India to Dammam port in Saudi Arabia, and to Umm Qasr port in Iraq. This direct service will enhance connectivity between these key ports and facilitate faster movement of goods. The new route strengthens trade ties between Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and India, driving transformational trade growth and positioning Umm Qasr as a competitive logistics hub.
