Sandra Lucas Haro, perfumer at #Iberchem, and Carmen López, ceramist, collaborated on the occasion of the fragrance exhibition [Matières]. The result was presented this year at in-cosmetics Global in Paris.   This combination of art and fragrance was meant to create a common object, for which the logical boundaries between the fluid and solid cease to exist. China has always been a key market for Iberchem. It is also where the company has its second-largest manufacturing centre and where it continuously experiences significant growth across all fragrance applications.   Today, we met with Wanting He, #perfumer at #Iberchem Guangzhou. In this short interview, she shares with us her professional journey from Shanghai to Paris (ISIPCA) and back to her hometown in Guangzhou. It's been four months since we launched [Matières] at in-cosmetics Global in Paris. Since then, this #fragrance exhibition has been widely recognised by industry professionals, the press and consumers worldwide.   Today we have the pleasure of sharing the interview between Luz Vaquero, Head Perfumer at Iberchem and recently appointed Academician of the Fundación Academia del Perfume, and José Soler, metalworker. Based on José’s sculpture, Luz created a unique fragrance that evokes the metal’s hardness and malleability. Watch to learn more on their collaboration.

Last June, we took part in the University of Murcia’s IV Symposium on Physical and Chemical Sciences for Young Researchers with Vasco Marques da Silva, #Neuroscience Specialist at Iberchem. This event enabled us to engage with the next generation of chemists and researchers on the potential of #Electroencephalography (EEG) to understand the olfactory emotional impact of #fragrances. We also took this opportunity to have a chat on this topic with Félix Zapata Arráez, Secretary of the Faculty of #Chemistry at the Universidad de Murcia. Last month, the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food launched its campaign “Todos los caminos llevan Aroma” in collaboration with Iberchem. The campaign describes the incredible aroma that we can smell along four iconic paths across the country and features four #fragrances created by the perfumers of #iberchem. The first path is the Camino Natural de la Cordillera Cantábrica: its fragrance was inspired by a walk through the Asturian meadows and rivers with green and fresh notes, such as eucalyptus and mint. The second one is the Camino Natural de La Palma: it is inspired by the botanical richness of the Canary Islands, with fruity and citrus notes such as banana, Canary lemon and toasted sugar. The third path is the Camino Natural Vía Verde del Aceite: reminiscent of a walk bathed in the sun in the middle of Andalusian spring. It is dominated by floral notes of orange blossom, citrus notes of mandarin and sweet notes such as fig and anise. The fourth and last of the fragrances was inspired by the Camino Natural Camí de Cavalls: it embodies the Mediterranean Sea in its purest expression, symbolizing its rich interior, with wood notes in contrast with the sea breeze, as well as light and warmth, of its coast with notes of sea salt and posidonia. In January 2023, Iberchem started the project “Restore Together” with NELIXIA, its cardamom oil supplier. The project aims to create a sustainable #cardamom supply chain based on ethical relationships, transparency, biodiversity protection, and human empowerment, contributing to all three fundamentals of Croda’s commitment to becoming Climate, Land and People positive by 2030. It also allows the whole Iberchem team to better understand the concept of #sustainability in the supply chain.   Last spring, Luz Vaquero, Global Fragrance Creation Director; Paco Miñano, Global Procurement Director; and Guillaume Audy, Sustainability Director, flew to Guatemala to visit some farmers involved in this project. We are pleased to announce that the fragrance One created by perfumer María Ángeles Santiago for the brand Beautiful India will be launched this week in Paris on the occasion of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. The fragrance will be presented at the India House, the nation's inaugural country house at the Olympic Games, conceptualised by the Reliance Foundation in partnership with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). “The brand is a celebration of India and its reminder for us to make the journey from our head to our heart, as much as it is a celebration of the highest version of the individual,” said Praveen Kenneth, founder of BEAUTIFUL INDIA. “What a better place and occasion to make our global debut than as the official partners of the inaugural India House, Paris.” “This fragrance perfectly embodies the cultural richness of India and I can’t think of a better occasion for its launch than the Olympic Games,” said María Angeles Santiago, perfumer at Iberchem. "The scent opens on sweet notes of red apple, cardamom, and cherry. As the scent evolves, a soft mélange of caramel and amber is revealed. We are thrilled to announce that we came back home with a VPC award for our CSR program ROOTS!    Over the past two years, this program has helped more than 5 000 students around the world. The aim of this initiative is to narrow the digital divide, that is, to reduce the inequality of access to information, knowledge, and education through new technology. Iberchem has distributed hundreds of computer workstations in primary schools in the communities where Iberchem operates.    The program recently entered its second phase.
