نبذة عنا
IEEE UAE Section, established in 1987, as a part of IEEE Region 8 of the mother organization IEEE . “IEEE vision is to advance global prosperity by fostering technological innovation, enabling members’ careers and promoting community worldwide”. The mission of the section is to reach this vision by promoting the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing and applying knowledge about electro-technologies and sciences. This engineering process promotion is achieved through publishing periodicals, books, standards, conferences, proceedings, electronic products and mixed media. Since its establishment, the IEEE UAE section has played an essential role in widening the scope of techno-electrical and computing awareness in the society. IEEE UAE Section will continue to build the technological infrastructure to develop techno-electrical industry, and to improve life-styles of individuals.

Amity University Dubai is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) UAE Section. This partnership will boost faculty and student development through impactful conferences, seminars, distinguished lectures, projects, and student activities. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Hussain Al-Ahmad, FIET,SMIEEE, C.Eng., IEEE UAE Section Chair; Hussam Al Hammadi, PhD, Vice Chair; Dr Husameldin Mukhtar, Secretary; and Dr Abigail Copiaco, PhD, Treasurer. Representing Amity University Dubai were Dr Saif Al Seiari, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Sathish Kannan, Dean of the School of Engineering, Architecture and Interior Design; Dr. Vinod Shukla, Head of Academics; and Dr Ved Prakash Mishra, Counsellor of the IEEE Student Branch and Programme Leader for the Computer Science Programme. Student representatives from the IEEE student branch at Amity University Dubai also participated in the event.
