In the last 2 decades while global wealth management market volumes have nearly doubled and almost 45% of that held in MFOs or similar structures, little to no innovation has taken place in wealth management products - still driven largely by old school business models. The demographic and psychographic of the "wealthy” has transformed substantially – New Economy Sectors in Technology and Healthcare industries along with Financial Services have created outsized returns and generated the majority of millionaires in the past 2 decades. This "HNI" wealth now prefers a more agile, innovative and wholistic approach to growing and managing their wealth – complete with embedded financing, packaged with interesting products and a wholistic approach to their taxes, wealth and succession plans. Kairoswealth is transforming the wealth-management landscape by delivering differentiated access to innovative investment products, embedded financing and lifestyle services to HNIs holding both fiat and digital assets via a new age and technology-powered MFO driven by AI. Kairos is actively hiring engineers, ex-investment and private bankers and really smart generalists. Give us a shout if you're interested in the space!

Our Chief Growth Officer, Gaurav Babbar was recently invited to a close door Family Office meet organised by a PE firm in Singapore. One of the presentations was by Associate Professor Weina Zhang, Deputy Director of the Sustainable and Green Finance Institute (SGFIN) at NUS Business School. SGFIN is supported by MAS with a key research focus being to develop a sustainability and impact measurement and assessment framework. Professor Zhang made reference to her team's study conducted on investor's preference to invest in the WaterCredit Investment Fund 3 (WCIF3). The fund launched by WaterEquity whose founders are Gary White and Matt Damon. WCIF3 aims to provide clean water solutions to four developing countries including India, Indonesia, Cambodia and the Philippines. The blended finance initiative involves equity sourcing and debt sourcing. Her team looked at three types of investors interested in putting money into these kinds of funds: foundations, financial institutions and high-net-worth individuals. The team assigned financial institutions as having the lowest risk aversion, and high net worth individuals having the highest, with foundations in the middle. The team also used a parameter called “impact preference,” which looks at how much the investor cares about the social and environmental returns of the investment. The team assumed foundations are the most interested in the impact, caring 70% about the impact and 30% about the traditional financial returns. Financial institutions would be in the middle, and high net worth individuals would care the least about impact. The last slide references the final optimal allocation by the investors and the return/volatility based on their allocation to WCIF3 and the S&P 500. The team at KairosWealth understands the importance of ESG and Sustainable Finance scoring and investments to FOs globally. We are working towards this to have a comprehensive WealthTech platform for our clients. Gaurav Babbar Vincent Teyssier #esg #sustainablefinance #familyoffices #wealthtech
