Yesterday, we proudly marked the start of our Ramadan partnership with the UAE Food Bank by joining His Excellency Eng. Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the UAE Food Bank, Director General of the Dubai Land Department and Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality at the Zabeel Iftar with 3,000 of Dubai’s hard working residents. This special event supports the UAE Food Bank's ‘United in Giving’ initiative, under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives to provide seven million meals to those in need throughout the Holy Month. To promote sustainable food management, reduce wastage, and encourage community participation in charitable efforts, over the coming weeks, we will be contributing over 3,000 meals daily to the UAE Food Bank for distribution nationwide. Additionally, our Carrefour Care Vans will be stationed in the busiest areas, offering dates and water to help individuals break their fast with ease. Ramadan is a time of unity, reflection, and compassion, and we are honoured to support the efforts of the UAE government to create memorable moments that strengthen our community.

All set to make history. For the very first time, twenty athletes of determination from the UAE, Egypt, and Oman will be competing in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy. This marked a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to develop winter sports across the region in partnership with Special Olympics UAE, Oman, and Egypt, as well as the UAE Winter Sports Federation. After a year of incredible training at our Snow facilities across Ski Dubai, Snow Abu Dhabi, Snow Oman, and Ski Egypt, our amazing athletes are ready to fly their nations' flags on the world stage. All of us at Majid Al Futtaim are incredibly proud to cheer them on and wish them all the very best.

Celebrating a historic moment for UAE winter sports. We're incredibly proud to cheer on seven Ski Dubai athletes who will be competing at the Asian Winter Games 2025 in China, representing the UAE National Snow Sports Team. This remarkable milestone is part of our long-standing commitment with the UAE Winter Sports Federation to support and develop young talent in winter sports, and is a testament to the region's growing standing in global sports. We look forward to watching our national athletes shine and make their mark on the global stage.

Yesterday at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, our CEO, Ahmed Galal Ismail, participated in the panel 'Long View On MENA's Growth', with His Excellency Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Her Excellency Nora Suleiman Al-Fassam, Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs, Kuwait, His Excellency Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, Egypt, and Jack Hidary, CEO of SandboxAQ.
