🚄 Enabling high-speed travel under a nation's capital! 🚄 After completing an over 8km journey under West London, Tunnel Boring Machine Sushila was raised from the ground by Mammoet's custom-made gantry system. This work, undertaken for Herrenknecht AG on behalf of Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture, is helping to form the final underground leg of the HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd journey from Birmingham to London's Euston station. Work is progressing on EnBW's new hydrogen-ready ‘Fuel Switch’ combined cycle gas turbine power plant in Altbach, Germany. Our team successfully transported and lifted the 400 MW gas turbine, weighing approximately 390t, onto its foundation. Here's another look at the successful transport of a 40m (133 ft.) module from a barge to land in a narrow channel by our Mammoet crew. The teams made it look easy by using 30 axle-lines of doublewide SPMTs to carefully transport this 617t (1.36 million lbs.) module, one of the largest of the project.
