For 🧠#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek 🧠, we hosted a captivating fireside chat between two remarkable leaders: Reeva Misra, founder of Walking on Earth, and our very own Ibrahim Ajami, Head of Ventures of at Mubadala Capital. In their conversation they shared some valuable insights into integrating mindfulness into leadership. From meditation to gratitude journaling, their advice is not just transformative but also actionable. Here are our 3 favourite takeaways from the session: 1. Start small - science has shown that 5 minutes is all you need to move from a heightened stress response to a calm state in your body 2. Build it into your life - take 5 minutes to breathe between your calls, in a car to a meeting or on a plane before you take off 3. Train your mind like any other muscle - the more you practice mindfulness techniques, the easier it becomes to move into these states so keep going! Read the full insights in WONE’s latest blog (linked below), and discover how mindfulness can revolutionise your approach to leadership. #MindfulLeadership #WellbeingAtWork #LeadershipDevelopment 🌿🚀 https://lnkd.in/e8gwprzx

Turns out, our brains are as unique as our fingerprints! As proud partners of the Witherslack Group and its Futures Programme, we are on a constant journey to learn about diversity and inclusion in the workplace. A few weeks ago we had the privilege of hosting Colin Foley from the ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity for an interactive session on Neurodiversity in the workplace. Colin's expertise not only deepened our understanding of what is means to be neurodiverse but redefined our understanding of diversity in the workplace. Our biggest takeaway? We all think differently, and that's a beautiful thing. Neuro-inclusion reminds us to harness the unique perspectives of each employee to drive collective success. It encourages us to embrace and accommodate individual needs to unlock the full potential of our team. At Mubadala Capital, we're committed to fostering a culture where every voice is valued, and every individual is empowered to thrive. We invite you to join us in creating a workplace where diversity isn't just embraced—it's celebrated. After all, we're stronger when we celebrate our differences.
