数十億ドル規模のAIとインフラ投資でインドのデジタルの未来を加速   2025年3月17日、NTTデータグループはインド市場への戦略的な取り組みの１つとして2025年6月までに、マレーシア・インド・シンガポールなどとを結ぶ、毎秒200テラビット(Tbps)を超える伝送が可能なアジア最大級の海底ケーブル「MIST」(全長8,100キロメートル)が開通予定であることを発表しました。 同時に、インドのバンガロールにあるイノベーションセンターをリニューアルし、さらに拡張することも発表しています。   NTTグループは10年以上にわたりインドで成長と投資を続けてきました。特に、NTTデータグループが行うデータセンター事業において、22年にはデータセンターの受電容量ベースでシェア1位も獲得しており、現在はムンバイを中心に4都市で19棟のデータセンターを保有しています。 さらに25年中にはインド東部のコルカタへ進出し、今後数年をかけて5都市計30棟への拡大も予定しています。これにより受電容量も計290メガワットから計700メガワットまで引き上げます。   NTTが開発中の次世代通信基盤「IOWN(アイオン)」は、通信の遅延がほぼなく消費電力を大幅に減らすことができる革新的な光無線ネットワークです。離れた場所にある複数のデータセンターを、IOWNでつなぎ1つのデータセンターキャンバスのように運用できるようにすることをめざしています。   NTT DATA, Inc. Cybersecurity threats to companies and government organizations have become increasingly serious, with new methods exploiting AI being developed. Reflecting on cybersecurity in 2024, ransomware remains a significant issue and two key points stand out – (1) Victims spans all sizes of companies and organizations and (2) The rise of a new attack method called “no-ware ransomware”. In today’s age, systems are becoming more cloud-based, teleworking is becoming more widespread, and cyber-attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated. It is difficult to sufficiently defend against threats with conventional perimeter defense security models, and “zero trust security” is increasingly being introduced as a solution. NTT DATA and kokusai motorcars Co., Ltd. (km Taxi) have successfully verified the effectiveness of an algorithm that estimates current brain health conditions based on driving behavior data. The algorithm enables the identification of individuals with potentially declining brain health through driving behavior analysis. Notifying drivers of these results will increase awareness of cognitive decline and enable them to proactively monitor their brain health using self-assessment tools or seek medical consultation at an early stage.
