After starting in plastics, an online recycled material trading platform is expanding into glass, metal, rubber, OCC and paper and will soon add e-scrap. United Arab Emirates-based Rebound aims to increase communication and transparency at all levels of the recycling value chain and make it easier to buy and sell recycled materials, said Yassamin Homayouni, the company’s senior marketing and communications specialist. This morning, the Forbes Middle East Sustainability Leaders Summit opened its 2nd edition chaired by Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi The hall was filled with audiences of different industries, including decision makers as well as the young leaders of tomorrow. Exhibitors showcased sustainable materials, products, buildings, and there were multiple stages to tune into global leaders and industry experts in the climate &sustainability space. Personally, I enjoyed listening to Haythem Riahi, PhD, MBA passionately talk about Circa Biotech; as well as passing by Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination مؤسسة زايد العليا لأصحاب الهمم’s stand to purchase local handcarts made with love and creativity. I also got to meet Raisa Mariam Rajan and see her stunning artworks. To top it all, it was a proud moment getting my hands on the copy where Syed Basar Shueb was listed as top 3 #sustainability #leaders via #investments and holdings.
