Quantity Surveyor Manager Applicant must be in #UAE Role: • Lead QS team and be accountable on project finances & contractual relationships to ensure that the financial position of construction projects is accurately reported and controlled effectively. • This person will be accountable for the commercial and cost management of projects, from inception through to close out. The role involves ensuring all operations are carried out to control costs, maximize value, minimize future liabilities and maintain the required standard of quality and safety. Responsibilities: • Manages, oversees coordination and guide activities of the function covering: contract procurement, tender documentation, tender evaluation, value engineering and cost awareness and management, post contract management. • Take lead to advise management on strategies for dispute resolution in the event of a commercial dispute, arbitration and/or litigation (if any), for all projects. • Advise on best strategies, or where necessary step in, to negotiate with external parties on pricing, contractual terms, variation / change orders, commercial agreements, and final accounts settlements etc. with both internal and external stakeholders, partners, contractors, suppliers, consultants, service providers and vendors, and reinforcing the profile, professional image and good reputation of the company in the industry. • Key person to Present feasibility studies and regularly keeps track of updated cost estimates and cost planning: • Provide clear analysis of situation and evaluation of cost and commercial data arising from different areas and factors of development and provide appropriate cost management solutions. • Set up and evolve SOPs for forecasting, reporting, reviews, evaluations and updates for cash-flow, tenders, progress claims / payment, variations, budget and cost control, change order management, company and department timelines and milestones etc. • Ensure that quantity survey & cost processes are adhered to across the projects/ business units and actively • Collate actual costs in accordance with the respective work breakdown structure and capture all cost base requirements • Ensure final accounts are prepared timely and accurately • Ensure financial information for audits is collated and cost assurance processes are followed #uaejobs #abudhabijobs #dubaijobs #jobhiring #quantitysurveyor #civilengineeringjob #waterproofing

Draftsman Job We are looking for a draftsman for a waterproofing company who can work alongside several specialists at our company. The draftsman will form part of a multidisciplinary engineering team and should be comfortable working at an adjustable table as well as a computer terminal. You will usually work at our offices, but will at times need to fulfill travel requirements and work on-site. Draftsman Responsibilities: Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings. Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems. Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations. Communicating with architects and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings. Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting alongside the engineering team. Ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations. Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team. Draftsman Requirements: be civil engineering or architecture. A degree from a technical college is also acceptable. Experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD). The ability to draw manually is favorable, but not essential. • Review enquiries and request for quotation coming from Main Contractor/Clients/Suppliers • Prepares quotation as per project specifications, BOQ and drawings and other technical documents related to the enquiry. • Collaborates with Main Contractor/Clients through follow-ups regarding quotation approvals. • Coordinates with suppliers/manufacturers regarding material rates, availability, and system compliance to project documents. • Prepares material submittal, shop drawings and other required technical documents as per project requirements. • Coordinates approvals from Main Contractor/Client of submitted materials submittals, shop drawings and other submitted technical documents • Support the project manager in overseeing projects, identifying and addressing any technical deviations as they arise. • Attends technical meetings as required to support the completion of project. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant engineering discipline (BS Civil or Chemical Engineering or similar. • Experience in a similar technical role recommended. • Experience or knowledge with Abu Dhabi Standards and Estidama requirements preferred. • Experience working as part of a team. • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with others. • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience recommended. #jobsinuae #dubaijobs #career #emiratesjobs
