1 week into the 24/25 academic year, and our third 'new' school 🇦🇪 🎉 Right at the end of Term 3, Leanne Fridd reached out to Mind Your Health Ltd to inquire about student training, and within a few back and forth emails, a training package was booked for Safa Community School 💪🏻 On the first day of term, I was invited to work with the Year 13s carrying out the Mental Health Warrior training, a course designed and owned by Mind Your Health Ltd. It is a quick exploration on key foundations when it comes to mental health awareness. In addition, every student who attends get an international qualification to boot! These Year 13s brought a large amount of curiosity to the training, and the questions being asked around the subject matter were insightful, respectful and just extremely interesting! Some questions and takeaways: ❓ How do you work with someone with schizophrenia? Do they actually explain, well, what it is like for them? ❓ How do you stop yourself from showing your judgements on your face and through body-language? ❓ Is a diagnosis of eating disorders based on physical symptoms, or based on psychological ones? Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you the graduating class of 2024! 🧑🎓 👩🎓 Our Year 13 students had their wonderful graduation ceremony on Wednesday 8th May. Over a third of this cohort has been with us since the school opened a decade ago so it was a very bittersweet moment for many of us. As they left the venue to get ready for their prom to end their celebratory day, we can only sit back and think of how far they’ve come.
