This is the home of Graphic Design’s Greatest. That’s right. The Greatest. From the designers, studios, type foundries and brands at the top of their game, to the best products and jobs in the business. What is The Greatest, you might ask? To us, it’s not reputation, location or origin. Greatness can come from anywhere. It can be anything. Beautiful or functional. Unexpected or unusual. Loud or quiet. Familiar or new. Whatever it is, it’s rooted in quality. Quality over everything. We’ve been labelled as many things over the years – a blog, marketplace, platform, even the news or the press. We’re not too worried about titles. What we are, for sure, is a curious creative team with a relentless commitment to curation and community. What started in 2015 as an Instagram account meticulously curating projects has become a treasure trove that is now trusted by a forward-thinking community of more than 900,000 creatives and companies. Our features go beyond inspiration to provide insight, advice and recommendations from the top 1% of designers, studios, type foundries and brands. Our store unites the greatest products for work and life in one place, offering a selection of mockups, templates, assets, books and posters created or curated by our team. Our jobs page casts aside uninspiring text-heavy listings in favour of visual layouts, transparent salaries, flexible posting times and a fair pricing model, making it easier to find the perfect fit. Together, they form the leading destination for insights, products and jobs. Fuelled by the work, knowledge and support of the graphic design industry’s top 1%.

Joe Moore and Order Type Foundry created Haltung, a neo-grotesk typeface inspired by three generations of Swiss design education. The typeface draws from Walter Käch's sans serif lettering, Adrian Frutiger's Univers, and Emil Ruder's teachings at the Basel School of Design. Named after Helmut Schmid's monograph, Haltung aims to be "airy yet grounded," featuring higher contrast and more open apertures than typical neo-grotesks. Moore developed the typeface by analysing Käch's lettering book and early Univers specimens, blending elements from both to create a balanced design available in seven weights with matching italics. newkid® always has something going on. The studio, which recently turned four, has been up to one thing after the other. Through the past few years, the team has been building a body of work that speaks of a maturity far beyond their years. By bringing their innate curiosity to each project, they’ve been helping brands find their voice and place in the world. After being in “‘stealth mode’ for the first few years,” as Co-founder Alex Avendaño puts it, the studio was ready to shine a bit more light on their creative chops, and so, to ring in their birthday, they launched a new website. And they didn’t just stop there – the celebrations continue with a collaboration with Standard Equipment (whom the studio built an identity and website for) debuting an exclusive range of products. As we chat with Co-founders Alex Avendaño, Matthew D. and Rich Brown, they give us a sneak peek of the collection, and recount their days as a ‘newkid,’ sharing why they still bring that fresh-eyed energy to everything they do. In 2019, Hong Kong faced massive protests against a proposed extradition bill to mainland China. The government's response included a strict national security law, leading to arrests and the collapse of pro-democracy groups. This sparked an exodus of young residents seeking freedom elsewhere. During this period, Los Angeles-based designer xiyu deng observed how local musicians created more Cantonese songs to comfort citizens and preserve their culture. Inspired by this musical response to the crisis, she began creating album covers that reflected the emotions of these songs, completing 50 designs that varied between typographic and image-based approaches.
