PPG has completed its first COLORFUL COMMUNITIES® project in the United Arab Emirates, revitalizing the Al Ibtisama Centre for people with disabilities in Sharjah! Over 120 volunteers transformed the center with vibrant murals and repainted exteriors, creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for more than 150 children, staff, and visitors. This project celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Colorful Communities program, PPG's signature initiative for supporting communities. Mercedes-Benz is boosting its green credentials with a new, innovative paint finish at its Wörth plant! This revamped cab painting process uses ultra-high-solid paint materials and a wet-on-wet application, cutting energy consumption by up to 40%. The transition, expected to complete by 2026, will reduce resource consumption and CO2 emissions while maintaining the highest quality standards for over 400 truck cabs per day. AkzoNobel proposes a strategic separation of its Powder Coatings business from its Indian subsidiary, AkzoNobel India Limited. This move aims to create a more focused liquid paints and coatings business for AkzoNobel India while transferring intellectual property for the local Decorative Paints business to the subsidiary. The Board of Directors of AkzoNobel India has accepted the offer, but the execution of the transactions remains subject to shareholder approval and Supervisory Board approval.
