As a devoted husband and father of three, Joachim expertly balances his professional commitments with family life in the vibrant multicultural community of the UAE. Meet Lee Oldroyd, our nominee for the 2025 Annual General Assembly.
As Chief Commercial Officer and head of global superyacht sales at Gulf Craft, Lee brings over 20 years of experience in the luxury yacht industry. His journey began on the south coast of England, driven by a passion for boats and the sea.
With a degree in Electrical Engineering, Lee started at Sunseeker, where he rose through sales and brokerage, closing multi-million dollar deals. His expertise led him to Asia as COO for Sunseeker Hong Kong, where he became a key figure in the sector.
Based in Dubai, Lee is propelling Gulf Craft’s global sales, having achieved significant success at DIBs 2024. His strong relationships and personalized service are crucial as Gulf Craft expands into the USA, Australia, Asia, and Europe.

Presenting Jacky Gerault: Nominee for the Board Members Annual General Assembly.
We are pleased to present you, Jacky Gerault, a Senior Manager with over 27 years of experience in leisure, hospitality, and sports management in Dubai.
Jacky's journey began at the Dubai International Marine Club, where he supported large-scale marine sports events like power boating and sailing, as well as marina exhibitions, including the first Dubai boat shows. His expertise in site logistics, food & beverage, and entertainment allowed him to collaborate with top marine sports professionals and ambassadors.
After his time at the Marine Club, Jacky transitioned to senior management roles in hotels such as Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, Habtoor Grand, and Coral Boutique. For five years, he has served as General Manager of Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC), managing day-to-day operations at one of the UAE's most active sailing clubs. Previously, he was Head of Hospitality and Leisure for Nakheel, where he developed around 20 F&B, leisure, and sports concepts on Palm Jumeirah and the mainland.
Under his leadership, DOSC has become a hub for sailing enthusiasts, featuring an RYA School, a 150-berth marina, and hosting prestigious events like the Dubai to Muscat race and the Dubai Duty-Free SB20 World Championships.
Jacky believes that his extensive experience and passion for marine sports will be invaluable to the Leisure Marine Association.

With an MBA in Hospitality Management from Glion Institute of Higher Education and a CMM certificate from British Marine, Ivaylo Kishkov combines strategic acumen with a passion for guest service across the hospitality and marine industries. His expertise spans hotel and restaurant management, marina operations, event planning, and enhancing customer experiences.
Ivaylo has excelled in managing marinas, showing commitment to innovation and excellence. His skills in overseeing docking operations and maintenance and improving guest experiences have made him a leader in marina management. Known for his strong leadership and collaborative approach, Ivaylo builds and mentors high-performing teams, fostering a culture of service excellence.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Ivaylo is passionate about sailing, diving, fishing, and sustainable tourism, enriching his perspective on the ever-evolving hospitality and marina management landscape.
Join Us for a Cleaner Ocean: Yas Marina's International Coastal Cleanup 2024.
Yas Marina will once again be hitting the waterways of Abu Dhabi for another cleanup to help keep our oceans and beaches in pristine condition.
Saturday the 21st of September is International Coastal Cleanup (ICC), an initiative implemented by Ocean Conservancy. The yearly cleanup occurs on the 3rd Saturday of September and is one of the world’s largest ocean preservation/protection days, seeing volunteers focusing their cleanup efforts on oceans, waves and beaches.
Yas Marina looks forward to hosting and facilitating its second cleanup for 2024 alongside volunteers from Leisure Marine Association and Members, Alpha Phi Omega and Sea World Abu Dhabi coinciding with ICC Day 2024.

Meet with Miguel Contreras, our 2025 Nominee for the Leisure Marine Association Annual General Assembly!
Miguel Contreras has over 36 years in the marine industry and extensive expertise in racing sailing, marina management, sailing events, and luxury yacht dealerships. Miguel is the Duty Manager at Yas Marina, focusing on advisory roles to propose and implement new initiatives and projects.
Holding a diploma in Naval Construction Design, he has a rich international background, including significant roles such as General Manager at Duboats and Senior Marina and Operations Manager for Art Marine and Aldar. Miguel has been a marine consultant for Artelia Group and ADTA, where he focused on marina design and strategic projects like "Abu Dhabi Through the Sea," which enhances nautical tourism and supports the Abu Dhabi Plan Maritime 2030. His innovative approach aims to advance Abu Dhabi and the UAE as leading nautical destinations and grow the Blue Economy.
Miguel’s goals include promoting the UAE as a top nautical destination, implementing best practices in Nautical Tourism, and expanding the Blue Economy. He plans to develop a digital library, an app for marinas and marine businesses, and foster collaboration to boost charter business opportunities and create synergies among members and authorities.

We are pleased to introduce Saeed Al Marri as our Board Member Nominee for the Leisure Marine Association. Saeed is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the marine industry. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Customer Care & Business Support at P&O Marinas, Saeed has a proven track record in strategic planning, operational efficiency, and process improvement, and has held several key roles including Senior Manager at P&O Marinas and Manager at Mina Rashid Marina.
Saeed's career began at DP World, where he gained extensive experience across various functions, from managing container terminal operations at Jebel Ali Port to overseeing financial services. His contributions have consistently driven success and earned him awards. He is involved in the global marine community and currently represents the Middle East on the International Board of the Global Marina Institute. He holds diplomas in Managing Terminal Operations Financial Services and Banking and has completed the Leaders Development Program in partnership with the American University of Sharjah.
Saeed's extensive background, industry expertise, and passion for the marine sector make him an ideal candidate for the Leisure Marine Association, where he is poised to play a key role in advancing the leisure marine industry.
