Our work on the Etihad Museum in Dubai covers 2.5 hectares, narrating the UAE's history from 1968 to 1974. The museum, near Union House, includes new and restored buildings, exhibition halls, a theater, and educational areas. Facade lighting highlights Union House with cool white light symbolizing the moon, while the Pavilion's subtle blue lighting creates a floating effect. Warmly lit columns invite exploration. The landscape lighting unifies the buildings, using original fixture styles in the Restoration Zone to maintain a 1970s ambiance, and contemporary elements in the Development Zone. A water fixture projects stars, encouraging interaction. Inside the Pavilion, concealed projectors illuminate the ceiling, and bird-inspired fixtures add dynamic visuals. For The Langham Hotel in Doha, we focused on enhancing its architectural beauty and celebrating its prime location. The facade lighting highlights the overlapping layers of glazed skin around the core, resembling flower petals about to bloom. Warm white shades, reflecting the colors of sunrise over the sea, create a captivating visual effect. The landscape areas are subtly illuminated with indirect linear lights that complement both the tower and podium. Warm color temperatures provide an inviting atmosphere, guiding residents and visitors through the outdoor spaces. As part of its 500,000m² expansion, UMAYA Lighting was tasked with designing the illumination for its educational, research, and administrative buildings. Our work encompassed comprehensive internal, façade, and landscape lighting, enhancing the facility’s aesthetic and functional appeal. The façade lighting of the educational building showcases its parametric glazing with floor-recessed wall washers, creating a dynamic play of light and color. Our lighting design also adds depth and dimension, transforming the structure's nighttime presence. For the research and administrative buildings, we took a subtle approach to highlight their architectural features, ensuring the educational building remains the focal point. Our thoughtful lighting strategy enhances the walls, textures, and patterns, adding character and functionality to the spaces. Outside, our subtle lighting design highlights elements that contribute to a harmonious ambiance, complementing the building façades.
