This year’s GITEX theme, ‘AI in Everything,’ aligned perfectly with Presight’s focus on ‘Applied Intelligence Today.’ Our team showcased solutions and actively participated in panels, fireside chats, and discussions, demonstrating how #AI is evolving into a utility for driving human progress by putting AI across sectors. At the start of GITEX, I engaged in a standout session on inclusive AI, discussing how democratizing AI unlocks opportunities across economies and societies while emphasizing the need for responsible regulations to ensure lasting impact. One of the highlights was connecting at the G42 talks, where we explored how enterprise AI assistants are reshaping operations and the future of “agentic AI”—task-oriented tools that move beyond large language models to deliver more targeted solutions. Alongside Alex Kipman and Farah Hillou, we engaged in a dynamic conversation about AI in sports—a compelling example of Applied Intelligence—where AI enhances not only athletes' performance but also supports their health and well-being. Sector-specific insights added depth. Dr. Adel Alsharji shared how big data and GenAI are transforming emergency response, while Martin Yates discussed how our Intelli platform is driving smarter city development. We also had candid discussions with Atul Choudrie of STC Bank and Maria Parpou from Mastercard on how AI can tailor commerce to meet diverse regional needs, sparking exciting ideas for future collaboration during Mastercard’s event. This momentum carried into Expand North Star, where we engaged to support the next generation of AI startups, accelerate innovation, nurture talent, and advance progress across the AI ecosystem. Meanwhile, our colleagues from AIQ and IntelliGrid, powered by AI shared insights on optimizing the energy landscape as AI technology continues to evolve. We believe progress happens when we learn together, foster open dialogue, and build a shared ecosystem aligned with our aspirations. There’s much more to come—expect to see us making an even greater impact. To cap off an incredible week, we received the Channel Personality of the Year Award at the Intelligent ICT Awards Middle East 2024— bringing this recognition back to the team will definitely energize them even more. Last week Dubai Harbour was home to Expand North Star, the world's largest event for startups and investors, organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.
