Indoor Air Quality Awareness in Schools We had the pleasure to organise an awareness morning for 220 Year 5 students from Nord Anglia International School Dubai (NAS) Through interactive discussions and a fun card matching game, the kids learned about the risks of indoor air pollution and how they can protect themselves. Key takeaways: - Humans breathe an average of 22,000 breaths a day. - We spend 90% of our time indoors! - 9 out of 10 people worldwide breathe polluted air. - Indoor air can be up to 70% more polluted than outdoor air. - Pollutants come from outside (pollen, dust, combustion particles) and inside (VOCs, mould, CO2, germs). - Health impacts include headaches, sleepiness, allergies, and trouble concentrating. But there are solutions: air monitoring, proper ventilation, non-toxic products, air purifiers, indoor plants, and AC cleaning. Want to know more?
