Dhawa Ihuru review Our stay at Dhawa Ihuru resort was fantastic in all aspects. After clearing the immigration formalities we were greeted by resort coordinator in front of the airport and half an hour speed boat ride later we were already drinking welcome cocktail on the island and listening to Elena about general information. We were two families on the speed boat and each was greeted individually making check-in pure pleasure with many woows. Villas are modern with room and garden service twice a day. The island is not big. Walking around takes around 10 min and swimming around the reef about an hour. There is a sister island 2 min boat ride away with a 7 times a day free boat ride back and forth. Both islands have a beautiful coral reef around them. There is no need for snorkeling trips. You can see big variety of marine life on the doorstep of your villa. Sharks (not dangerous), turtles, lobsters and more colorful fish that you can count. We were snorkeling at least twice a day. There is an in house marine lab. Marine biologist Henry told us many interesting things during his coral reef lecture and showed in person while snorkeling together. He even helped my daughter with her school project. There is a wide variety of activities. From massages in their spa centre to local music evenings and fishing trips. My son made life long memories while pulling big wahoos and a barracuda from the sea during big game fishing. Captain Matheen found the fish, made us feel comfortable and prepared tasty sunrise breakfast. Oh, and the food. Like dining in a Michelin star restaurant 3 times a day. Tropical fruit was amazing. Everyone from gardeners, waiters, cooks, bar-mans, receptionists to resort manager were honestly trying to make us happy. And they did.

Awesome experience at Dhawa Ihuru. Great corals and lagoons. Food and hospitality is good. We had a great time here. I have to say special thanks to Raikko for taking good care and engaging my child at kids club. We will definitely plan for next visit

The best seashore experience ever. Excellent view, perfect snorkeling experience and great accommodation. We have stayed here for three nights and it is the best holiday ever! Will definitely come back next time. If you are a fan of snorkeling, great place to be.

A wonderful 5 day stay on this tranquil little island. Mid October was just after the monsoon, and the weather cleared up beautifully. A very peaceful place, with only about 45 rooms. Very attentive staff with an excellent selection of food - especially the salads. Lots of vegetarian options too. Some of the best snorkelling and freediving anywhere in the world. The Marine Lab team were excellent and really made our trip - keep up the great conservation work! Sharks, turtles, eels and fish a plenty. This is a wonderful place. Excellent rooms with nice communal facilities. If you want swimming pools and music and entertainment - there are many other options. If you want peace and nature, a 25min speedboat ride from Malé, this is perfect.

I have just returned from a (much too short) 3-night stay at this magnificent resort. The service was impeccable, the villas well appointed, and the reef provided hours of endless snorkeling excitement. It checked every box in my wish list. This was our second visit to the Maldives, but the first to a resort in speed-boat distance. While close to Male, the setting is idyllic and beautiful. We were there for my daughter's birthday, and the staff fell all over themselves to make it special for her. Big shout out to the head chef for all his great attention, particularly with my challenging food allergies. We were there just a few days, but the staff quickly figured out our favorite foods and drinks and always delivered. The reef was as good as I had hoped. Regular shark sightings - so many! The reef on the "rough" side of the island was clear and beautiful. The calm side of the island was less clear but still with many sharks and interesting things to see. We were in Villa 5 and the reef access was barely 20 feet from our loungers. It was incredible. Highly recommend this beautiful resort, and I can't wait to return.
