Cisco to Acquire Composite Software for $180 Million
Networking giant Cisco Systems says it will spend $180 million to acquire Composite Software, a company that specializes in data virtualization software and services based in San Mateo, Calif. Composite’s software taps data stored in many places on a network and makes it appear to the user as if it is all stored in one place. Composite will join the Cisco services group and report up to Mala Anand, senior vice president of Cisco’s Services Platforms Group.
