Empowering SIDS and Developing Nations to reach their full potential.

Had a great discussion with the Inland Revenue Departments of Turks and Caicos and Anguilla, diving into digitalization strategies for Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Here are some key takeaways for SIDS looking to shift from “in line” to online: 💻 Modernize IT Infrastructure – Assess and upgrade existing systems to enable eServices, digital payments, and streamline taxpayer interactions. 📢 Education & Outreach – Early engagement with clear communication is crucial for driving adoption and building trust within the taxpayer base. 🔧 Optimize Internal Processes – Align organizational structures and internal workflows to fully support digital services and ensure a smooth transition. It’s not about reaching Tax Administration 3.0 overnight, but about taking strategic steps forward to lay the foundation for future success. Excited to work with Blyce on helping SIDS on their digitalization journey 🚀. #Digitalization #TaxAdmin #SIDS #TaxAdmin3.0

At Blyce, sharing knowledge is key to our growth and collaboration. For the past few months, we've been hosting monthly Knowledge Swap sessions, where different units present insights on their area of expertise.   This time, our Service Desk colleagues, Angelo Zielschot and Icheron Constancia, took the stage to showcase "The Service Desk in Action." They shared valuable insights about their work, and how we serve our clients, and highlighted some exciting features and innovations we're implementing to enhance the customer experience.   It’s all about continuous improvement and innovation. We’re proud of the steps we’re taking to serve our clients better!

Yesterday, the OECD released the latest updates to the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF) and the amendments to the Common Reporting Standard (CRS). These updates are crucial in enhancing global transparency and cross-border information exchange. Our team at Blyce is actively reviewing the new XML Schemas and User Guides. In the coming weeks, we’ll be discussing internally to align on how these developments will be incorporated into our Multi Data Exchange Solution (MDES). We remain committed to delivering solutions that keep pace with the evolving regulatory landscape.

[OUT NOW] Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework and amended Common Reporting Standard: OECD releases IT format for transmitting information between tax authorities and issues related interpretative guidance. We have published the XML Schemas and User Guides to support the transmission of information between tax authorities pursuant to the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF) and the amended Common Reporting Standard (CRS). The two User Guides reflect the reporting requirements of the CARF and the amended CRS that were approved by the OECD in 2023 and subsequently endorsed by the G20 and the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes as international standards. First exchanges under both the CARF and the amended CRS are expected to commence in 2027. We have also published a first set of frequently asked questions (FAQs) to provide interpretative guidance on the CARF, aimed at ensuring consistency in its implementation. 🔍 Read more ➡️ https://oe.cd/5gf   #OECDtax #OECD #tax #XML #Schemas #XMLSchemas #UserGuides #CARF #FAQs #CRS #exchangeofinformation #TaxTransparency #TrustinTax

At Blyce, one of the most rewarding things we do is sit down with users to understand their needs. There’s no better way than a physical visit to ensure users get all the value our system offers. Today, we look back at the visit Norbert Dijk made with the users of the Vanuatu Competent Authority, who have been using our MDES software since 2018. We had a fantastic time visiting our client and accomplished a lot in a short period: • Demo & Training: Introduced and trained the new Vanuatu competent authority user. • Knowledge Sharing: Engaged in insightful discussions on this year’s CRS exchanges with partner jurisdictions. • User Feedback: Listened to valuable end-user suggestions to enhance the MDES portal. • Data Analysis: Assisted the users in how to ensure compliance better by analyzing CRS data received from Vanuatu financial institutions. We’re excited about the positive impact and look forward to more collaborative efforts with the Vanuatu Competent Authority.
