Na een tip van Hans Hoff heb ik OM ontdekt.
Al 7 jaar grote fan en gebruiker van MapsMe maar de laatste maanden gaat het met die app de verkeerde kant uit. Dus eindelijk terug een gebruiksvriendelijke en overzichtelijke OM !

Organic Maps wordt nu ontwikkeld en ondersteund door de mensen die de Maps.Me-app vele jaren geleden hebben opgericht. Ons doel is nu om de kaarten te maken en te ondersteunen waar we allemaal al zoveel jaren van houden. Geniet van de app en aarzel niet om eventuele problemen of aarzelingen met betrekking tot organische kaarten met ons te delen.
Garmin Oregon is passé
If you used to have a Garmin Oregon for hiking, using OSM maps, then this is for you. A smartphone is a lot faster and the integrations and on-line map updates absolutely kill the Oregon.
But bring a hefty powerbank. The strength of the Oregon is its capability to run 8 hours off a pair of replaceable AAs. A smartphone will drain its battery long before the Oregon runs out of power.
