Dime: Budget & Expense Tracker 4+

I have been searching for a money manager app for months now & nothing has come close to Dime. It’s perfect with it’s simplicity of adding new expenses, tracking them with graphs and not a lot unnecessary complicated UI elements that burden the user. This is what happens when product engineering goes right. Kudos to the developer responsible. You have created the gold standard when it comes to finance management apps. I hope more people use it & you finally get the recognition you deserve. One feature request I’d recommend is multiple profiles & easy switching. I track expenses of both parents and myself & I would love the ability to switch between those profiles. I don’t normally write reviews, but this app clearly is the best I have ever used & doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.

The app has a fluid UI with no ads and the cleanest interface I have seen in an expense tracker. It helps to quickly add your income and expenses and set budgets. Recurring transactions, good insights, great dark mode, iCloud syncing, possibility to use emojis instead of icons are all some of the great features in addition to the quick and accurate tracking of expenses/income and budgets.

I think the developer really needs to be appreciated as he has put out a well thought out and no nonsense app for expense tracking !! Simply superb ! And what’s more he is offering all this for free. I would say for the overall experience of using the app, it leaves some of the premium / paid budgeting apps way behind.

Dime is an excellent budgeting app I’ve been using for 2 months now. However the support to add a budget that includes multiple categories would make it perfect.

Currently there’s only support for an overall budget or budget for a single category neither of which fits my use case to have a single budget for multiple categories.

For example I’d like to set a budget of 2000 for the categories ‘dining out’ and ‘shopping’ combined instead of having separate budgets for each that lets me easily balance out my expenses.
