The Argentine Association of Language Service Companies (AASL) was created in the year 2017 in order to become the representative body of all Argentine companies that are part of the Translation Industry and other related activities, on a local, regional and international level. The AASL is a modern, open, democratic and transparent Civil Association that seeks to become the Translation Industry’s advocate before government agencies, similar associations from all over the world and other private stakeholders, with the clear purpose of furthering the development of the Translation Industry and working on the set of conditions that limit the growth of the companies in this sector. AASL’s active role includes the year-round organization of events in different locations within the Argentine territory, the implementation of open and professional communication channels, the creation and subsequent distribution of quarterly newsletters, and the constant search of interconnection platforms geared towards the career development of the Association’s members. AASL’s mission is to provide the necessary foundations for Argentina to become the biggest and most professional Translation Hub in Latin America. Some of our goals include: 1. Becoming the representative of all translation, interpretation and language companies in Argentina before the different governmental agencies in order to reduce the fiscal pressure on knowledge-based companies. 2. Professionalizing the Translation Industry in Argentina through the creation of language-related jobs, added-value services, standardization and other related endeavors. 3. Representing the Argentine Translation Industry before foreign bodies and organizations. 4. Establishing networking, benchmarking, and mentoring opportunities in different locations and in different times of the year, in order to allow its members to submit their concerns, ideas, goals and proposals, in accordance with the applicable antitrust legislation.
