CLAAS brings chopping to a new level   With a range of innovative technologies, #CLAAS puts the #JAGUAR to a new level of forage harvesting, raising the bar even higher in terms of #chopping quality, #efficiency, #reliability and #comfort. JAGUAR customers can now take advantage of new options such as the V-FLEX chopping cylinder and CSPS (Corn Silage Processing Score) analysis via #CLAASconnect, as well as various improvements to the crop flow and drive provided as standard.   The completely redesigned V-FLEX cylinder marks a new milestone in chopping cylinder technology, offering unrivalled versatility when it comes to knife configuration. Together with the new V-FLEX knives, it sets new standards for smooth running and knife service life. In addition, it enables high throughputs and further enhanced chopping quality from 3.5 to a maximum 53 mm chop length.   The CSPS value is an important indicator of kernel processor performance. Previously, this could only be determined in the laboratory. Now for the first time, CLAAS can offer a solution for farmers and contractors in the form of an app in CLAAS connect which calculates the CSPS in a matter of minutes in the field while harvesting is underway.   Further innovations concern an optimised cropflow for the PICK UP 300, new speed differences for MCC CLASSIC and MCC MAX corncracker, optimised process management for knife sharpening and shear bar adjustment and last but not least a new 'automatic trailer changeover' function.   Even after more than 50 years of heritage, the JAGUAR from CLAAS will never stop shaping the forage harvester industry with truly #innovative technologies and functions. #Staytuned…

The first European #combine harvester MDB: a tale of tenacity, vision, and revolution. In 1928, farmers in Europe are still laboriously harvesting grain by hand, while a revolution is taking place in the USA: the combine harvester. Farmers in Europe remain sceptical though. The verdict: Too oversized, too expensive, and not fitting the domestic #harvesting conditions. But three men are convinced of the combine harvester’s potential: Agronomist Karl Vormfelde, designer Walter Gustav Brenner and entrepreneur August Claas. Together, they look for ways to make the combine harvester usable in Europe. However, the first attempt to develop a domestic combine harvester fails to convince farmers and manufacturers. But giving up is not an option. The threshing trio radically revise the design principle and rely on a tractor-drawn system with proven components. After six hard years of development, the new mower-thresher-binder (MDB) is ready for series production. The successful demonstration on a Saxon manor goes down in agricultural engineering history as the "Zschernitz victory". The machine's high harvesting performance and excellent price-performance ratio are immediately convincing. The visit concluded with a presentation by Victor RICHARD, head of our CLAAS Central Academy Tractors, who showcased new technologies developed with the support of Europe #FEDER, which foreshadow the machines of tomorrow.
