Are You Ready? 🚨 Today marks the official enforcement of the NIS2 Directive—ushering in new cybersecurity requirements - and more - across the EU for companies selling into the EU.     15.000! Well, today is the day. Microsoft channel partners... If you haven't taken the opportunity to help your customers yet. Today is the day. And the same opportunity is there for all other Microsoft channel partners. Why? The NIS2 Directive deadline is - tomorrow! 17 October 2024. By that date, the requirements of NIS2 must be implemented into law by each EU member state. I know, Germany has been given/taken an extension until March - and good thing too. This is a great opportunity to help customers selling into the EU to be compliant. Here is the news.... The Computer Emergency Response Team for Federal Agencies (CERT-Bund) has issued a warning about several vulnerabilities on over 15,000 Exchange servers that have been publicly available for months. Administrators should update their servers as soon as possible. (Link below) So, let's make the EU a safer place to conduct online business. Let's not let the cyber criminals win. Let's make customers NIS2 compliant and fix these vulnerabilities. And there is a lot more IT, Process, Governance and Legal consultancy to do around NIS2 and cyber security.     🚨 Attention Channel Partners! 🚨 Have you already read NIS2 Readiness Report from IDC, released at the end of July? It couldn’t have come at a better time with the October 2024 compliance deadline fast approaching. Here are some insights from the report:    1️⃣ In Austria, 97% are considering GenAI to automate and improve the efficiency of security operations while 36% rely on their organization’s security provider for information and guidance on NIS2.     2️⃣ In Belgium, 82% are considering GenAI to automate and improve security efficiency, 68% do not currently have or are only planning to develop a strategy to secure sensitive data when using GenAI for cryptography and encryption while 41% rely on their organization’s security technology providers for information and guidance on NIS2.     3️⃣ In Ireland, 87% are considering GenAI to automate and improve security efficiency, 63% do not currently have or are only planning to develop a strategy to secure sensitive data and 20% rely on their organization’s security technology provider for information and guidance about NIS2.    💡 The opportunity is clear: Most companies don’t see their security provider as a trusted advisor on NIS2.
