    🎉 Proud to be ANDRITZ: Austrian Federal Minister of Labour and Economic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Martin Kocher, visited our headquarters in Graz this week. The visit highlighted our commitment to innovation and sustainable growth, and gave opportunities to discuss labor law and the company’s role in the green transformation. "We are very honored by the visit of Minister Kocher. Our CEO Joachim Schönbeck stated. "It is a tribute to the good work of our colleagues that he is coming by in person. The dialogue between politics and business underscores the value of such visits in addressing the industry's challenges and opportunities together." 👉 During the visit Minister Kocher, found out more about our apprenticeship program and visited the company fire brigade, the training workshop, steel construction, parts production, plant assembly, and warehouse/logistics.     🌍 Boosting renewable energy: We have been selected to upgrade Norway’s largest run-of-river hydropower plant, Vamma! 👉 The Upgrade will increase the capacity of Vamma's unit 11 by 22%. 👉 This modernization will enhance efficiency and sustainability, reinforcing Vamma’s role in Norway's renewable energy sector. 👉 The plant is equipped with 12 turbine-generator units, including 10 Francis and two large Kaplan turbines. It has a total installed capacity of 343 MW and supplies an average of 1,580 GWh of electricity per year. Kjetil Toverud, Managing Director of ANDRITZ Hydropower in Norway: "This project is a milestone.     We’re thrilled to share, that we have been selected by E.ON Hydrogen to conduct an engineering study for a 20 MW green hydrogen plant in Essen, Germany. 👉 This marks our second green hydrogen project in Germany within a year, solidifying our role as a key partner in the transition to sustainable energy. ✅ The study will cover hydrogen production, compression, storage, and trailer loading bays, supporting E.ON's ambitious plans to advance the hydrogen economy. Read more: E.ON Hydrogen’s project in the Essen city harbor includes an electrolyzer plant to produce green hydrogen and a public hydrogen refueling station (HRS). However, Dry Molded Fiber, made from renewable wood pulp, offers a solution—reducing CO2 emissions by up to 80% compared to plastic-based processes. 🤝 ANDRITZ and PulPac AB have joined forces to bring this - and other eco-friendly packaging solutions - to scale.     ⚡Volatile renewables: ANDRITZ enhances Brazilian grid stability with synchronous condensers⚡ 🌍 With the increasing use of renewable energies, maintaining grid stability can become a major challenge. ANDRITZ therefore deploys advanced synchronous condensers that act as ‘shock absorbers’ for the power grid and provide a proven solution for balancing the grid. 🎉 We are happy to announce that we have just signed two contracts to supply new synchronous condensers to Brazil. The two 330 MVAr condensers will balance power systems in Bahia, Minas Gerais, and Ceará SE Crateús.     ♻️ We are proud to announce the start up of a new tearing line at Sealy Australia’s Brisbane plant, enabling the company to recycle post-consumer and post-industrial textile waste directly into new mattresses. 👉 Sealy now replaces virgin fibers with sustainable, recycled fibers, reducing landfill and emissions 👉 Recycling Capacity: The line processes up to 1,200 kg/h of denim waste and 800 kg/h of quilt waste.
