📢 Exciting Research Update! CRISPR screen uncovers candidate mediators of cellular aging and neurodegeneration 🌟 A new study in Cell Stem Cell identifies the neddylation pathway as a key regulator of neuronal aging and Alzheimer's disease. Using a whole-genome CRISPR screen, researchers found that blocking neddylation increases aging markers and Tau aggregation in neurons with the APPswe/swe mutation, reducing their viability. This discovery opens new targets for AD progression and innovative strategies to model age-associated phenotypes in stem cell models. Interested in performing similar research? ✂️ bit.bio provides CRISPR-Ready ioGlutamatergic Neurons that express Cas9 and are ready to be used in CRISPR screening workflows Further info 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/dmc5P3F9 🧬 bit.bio can also create your desired disease associated mutations in neurons through the Custom ioDisease Model cells product offering Further info 👉🏻https://lnkd.in/efgE6JGN Get in touch if this sounds interesting to you 💬 Check out the full paper here 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/eWjgS9HC #AlzheimersResearch #CRISPR #StemCellResearch #FunctionalGenomics #Neurodegeneration #Biotech

bit.bio discovery employees Clara Schmidt and Nora Papai co-author a paper published in Cell: https://lnkd.in/dEJrPRSb The paper from Sasha Mendjan's laboratory at IMBA established a human cardioid platform that recapitulates the development of all major embryonic heart compartments, including right and left ventricles, atria, outflow tract, and atrioventricular canal. What a breakthrough! Congrats to all authors involved!
