As we move forward from the 2024 EU parliamentary elections, the newly formed European Commission is certain to continue shaping the future of the crypto industry. The next chapter will unfold with the full application of MiCAR by the end of 2024, marking the start of a new regulatory era for the sector. Bitpanda, as the largest homegrown Crypto-Assets Service Provider (CASP) in the EU, seeks to kick off this new political era and mandate by fostering an open dialogue between EU institutions and the European crypto industry. Only by listening to each other and engaging in the necessary debates will we be able to provide the best for European citizens, the industry, and the EU as a whole. Bitpanda has added a new asset class: Security Tokens. Last night we celebrated the listing of Steelcoin on the Bitpanda platform, to ‘ring the bell’ on the new asset joining our platform and to talk about how tokenisation is reshaping the world of finance.
